The Stock Audio Gain on Beast mode is on 1, maybe they did this for a reason? Bump it up to 3 (Park is set to 3 stock). Beast mode also likes a faster swing speed, combine those two and it will be on par/a bit deeper than Park. The new Iron Filter in Beast Mode greatly impacts depth and does not knock out large iron.
Hello there, I have to say that I'm glad you're still not sure what exactly the beast mode brings(same as me) I've been sitting here since yesterday, testing and testing, but I can't make any sense of it. If I get stuck I always look at your site, you always come up with good approaches or confirm my own tests. How I see it at the moment The beast mode has no advantages for me in the normal search for coins and objects in that size. I have 8 cm less depth on a small silver coin in the air compared to the field mode The DT mode seems to have a negative influence on the Vdi and the sound behavior. On the first coin you could clearly hear and see that the DT made the sound rather scratchy with a Kr Kr Kr at the end and the VDI values just jumping. I also thought that we would now get a boost in which our normal targets are displayed much deeper, e.g. 4 to 8 cm more depth on coins due to low frequencies and more open bottom filters. Well, let's wait and see what happens. Keep up the good work mate
Thanks, its Beta so maybe based off others feedback it will stay the way it is or change. She mentioned a thank you to the testers so it was tested by people and they were happy with what they saw.
Personally I don't know why Nokta/Makro always relies on Dilek to verbally explain new features. Why not take one of the engineers and shoot a video explaining the new features?
@@williampaxton871 she does have a few YT channels that help her with that stuff. Im sure some will be coming. Maybe waiting till after the Beta tests.
Put in a deeper coin like 11-12 inches where the detector can barely hit on it, maybe even getting a one way hit and try D.T. and B.E. maybe even put some iron in there with it! I'm confused by these test results so far and I'm not normally confused when it comes to something I'm so interested in. 😮 Dont take this suggestion the wrong way, obviously you know your way around detectors and I appreciate you Mike, but this is really mind boggling. We might be missing something! Dilek is probably laughing and saying I wont step in, they'll figure it out! Lol 😂
This video is messing with some deeper coins and the difference between Beast and Park, to me I wish they added the Beast mode into another base program. Dilek mentioned this is not an addition to Gold mode but a new program. It acts allot like Gold program with the lack of options for tones and Iron Filters, the current iron filters given to us in the Beast mode do not knock out large iron like you can with the other programs. I will not be using Beast mode the way they have it, its a dig it all type program, including large iron. A deeper coin 10-12 inches, could also be a deep piece of iron, they will sound the same. This is still a beta so hopefully they switch it and add it to another place like park or field with tone and filtering adjustments.
I'm seeing similar results. I have found that the Recovery setting has a bigger effect on BE than Park or Field. In BE you can run Recovery down to 2 or 1 and still not be able to sweep too fast to lose a fringe depth target. The lowered Recovery brings in the extra depth & yes, a faster sweep helps even at Recovery 1. Hits my 12" Quarter fine, will touch on my 15" Half Dollar. I'm still struggling with the audio intelligence. I have thought to use the Versa's EMI Preview screen to try and get an idea of the Legend's BE mode frequency weighting compared to Gold Field M and also M, M2 & M3. You may have time to check this before me & report, and you have a much larger audience than I. Good informative video. Thanks
Not sure what to think, other then the Legend seems to be a great detector. Wish I could get one and try it out. But then I wish I could get other detectors too.. Man the Money we spend on detectors. .lol
Yes! I have been playing old school lately on a V3i and DFX. Spent some cash on those and coils. Definitely fun park hunters but i habe really been liking the Dual audio of the Rutus Versa and the older whites machines had it so bought a couple.
@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin right! The competition is great! What was it 10 years ago. At pro, Mx Sport or F75. Or big bucks Deus 1, etrac, CTX, V3i. Now you can grab a Double Score or Xterra for less than $400 both are better than most of the above. The V3i and DFX i have are allot of fun in the parks but do not even pass the level 1 blocks. Where will we be in another 10?
Might have something to do with the way it energizes the targets and timing when really deep? You might try various deeper targets. Like to see you try 10 - 12 inches.
my first impresion on beast mode was "it turn my legend into deep iron serching machine"... im hear stronger signal from iron than non-ferus objects, also in normal gold mode multi i got more depth on no-ferus than beast mode... i would be 100% happy with legend if they would just put that iron sound in gold fild mode, or an option to swich on and offthe iron sound that would be amzing for little coins hunting i think. the think is gold mode is amzing for difficult soil and iron poluted spots, but in all metal whitout ferus/non-ferus distinction, you gonna get to much signals, to much diggin. peace
Agree. Its a dig it all Beast mode currently. We don’t have tone options or iron filtering that works with large iron. Nokta listens and made it this way for a reason, must have been requested and tested a bunch. I don’t have a use for it. Need the tone options and filtering.
@@IffySignals Thanks a ton sir, This machine is an upgrade from my Whites XLT spectrum. I have 2 of them, they were a great machine in their time. I can see I'm going to have to get used to the new number readout. The whites are more like the Knox machines. The main reason I chose The legend is from what I hear they don't leak like the Knox.
I don’t have an 11” coil for the D2 but they are comparable depth wise. All these newer machines are deep now. Really depends on features, each are unique.
With the way updates are, and how fast the game can change its better to hold on to them. If you are happy with what you have thats all that matters. I have a couple hobbies within the hobby. One is making difficult tests for them and comparing so i hold on to most of them.
