Hi, it acts the same as in the 14 beta 2. Im not a fan of the new update. Just my opinion.. seems regular modes (depth and vdis) have been impacted vs 1.13. Allot more 1,2 IDs now.
@@IffySignals Thanks for your reply, I’ll stick with 1:13 for now then, as like you I didn’t like the way it impacted on the other modes. I understand Beast mode is there as an unmasking tool and not about depth but I think they have a way to go before they’ve perfected it. 👍
I got the M8 last month, and I really like it. Yesterday, I got the M9 both from the Placerville Hardware store, and I'm hoping to test them out at the beach asap.
Thank you for this. I have both and have been mainly using the AT Pro because I’m still new to the hobbby and I’ve been having trouble with signal discrimination on the Vanquish since the VDI only goes to 50 instead of 100. This has encouraged me to continue to get to know the Vanquish a little better.
Hey Raf, the stock modes seem to have been impacted by the 1.15. Low 1,2 ids that were not there on the 1.13 or the 1.14 first beta. History Revisited put up a video demoing this. Not sure whats going on it with but I wont be using it.
Hey Mark, definitely will be great for the water. I have had mine in the water a bunch of times during testing. Its glides with the smoother profile. I showed discrim and no discrim.
The M11 was super heavy, glad the M9 is out. I like the larger coil so I modified the M11 to be just like this M9, supper light weight and glides through water. just an experiment.
This is the first video I've seen in over 2 years that makes me wanna buy a new machine, as I know we will have to wait for the Deus 3 to get VDI's like this. I especially like the big iron performance.
Thanks Jay, agree on the large iron. I don’t want a non ferrous tone on it. The ability to let it back in when needed is important. You have both with this machine without having to restrict its unmasking abilities.

Glad I waited and didn’t purchase the 8x5. Iffy what’s your go to favorite 1,2or 5 region and audio theme? Just got manticore and trying to figure it out. Mainly do old homesites and relic hunting with it right now. Coming from Deus 1 it’s different. Thanks for info and videos.
So much hate for Garrett! :) I've been using Garretts since 1972 , and still have my old ADS and it still works good! Yes, I own a GTI 2500 I bought when they were brand new. With a Nel Tornado you can dig dimes at 12". If you don't master your detector, one is no better than the other. I've found the new ones to be too sensitive, without enough depth. Air Tests mean nothing.
I like these test.. Just like putting the 8inch coil on the Vanquish540.. Great all around coil.. The Manticore is teasing my mind and jingling my wallet. Thank for taking the time to do these test videos.. Peace
I have all the new machines, but every once in a while I take a trip down memory lane and get a work out swinging my old White's XLT. I have ran extensive depth tests with it compared to the Legend and the Equinox, even the X-Terra Pro. There really is no comparison with depth and separation. The XLT can't hang with these newer detectors. Technology really has progressed.
So, it says they are to be used when cell service goes down. I'm an old guy so when you say that you have to have service for them to work...doesn't that contradict itself?

Chinese shite ?
I hope they fail. Their CEO signed off on marketing saying "No Monthly Fees-No Subscriptions" No Hidden Fees" but there are yearly fees. What a joke. Their business model is to put that in the fine print then after a year you go to use it, it doesnt work, you call em and have to pay $50 each for them to work again.
Not cool, should mention it it right up front. I was hoping for the best because they are great walkies and can benefit many people/businesses but the whole idea of them being free and deleting people comments from there ads if they mention the charge is not cool.
