10 year old Nolan Blessing bowling entire 10th frame of his 300 game November 16, 2013 at Northwest Lanes in Cincinnati, Ohio. Youngest ever to bowl 300 game in Cincinnati!
Hi. This is Nolan. My dad let me see a lot of the recent posts. Thank you to all whom congratulated me! Hi again - this is Nolan's dad. Anyone whom has seen Nolan in person says he has great form and let him keep working on the two handed style. He does very well. He just recently bowled with me in an adult-youth tournament in Dayton, OH (an hour away from home) against 8th, 7th & 6th graders. He's in 5th grade. He came in first in the youth portion with an 823 over 4 games on the "inferno" sport shot. I believe it is just a tougher house like pattern but pretty impressive for first time ever bowling in the house. He is also on his way to Buffalo this July for U12 Junior Gold. All I can say to anyone whom seems be his biggest critics is you got to see him in person as he gets only "mouths dropping" or very impressive and keep it up from anyone seeing him. To all those whom said nice things, Thank you. He still impresses me every day and I'll get some video from Buffalo as I have a good feeling about Junior Gold for him! :)
He is very talented!!! I've been bowling since I was 3 and been bowling for 16 years and have yet to shoot 300 in league. That's crazy to see a 10 year old do it! So happy for him!!
Nolan Blessing 300 I bowled with u In the state tournament dued I didn't know you were that good keep posting vids just of u bowling it doesn't have to be 300
Way to go Nolan, congrats! This brought a smile to my face, hope you continue bowling

There was a man starting off on his first round of golf.He sliced the ball on the 1st tee and it sailed over the trees and rolled into the 18th hole.He said;"Well,I can't score any better than one!" Walked off and never played again!
@@matthewiles5714 It did at first, but once I realized what an accomplishment a 299 was, it wasn't so bad. Had I known that I would never get that close again, I would have certainly tried to enjoy it more. I have had 289's and 290's, but never again did I get 11 in a row with a chance to get the 12th.
Can t believe there are people trashing this kid, WHAT? Bad form, looks like he s falling out of a tree, HOW Stupid. I ve bowled for 50 yeara, 200 average plus, and have had 4 300 games. Whoever made the comment about the equipment is a nut case. Still have to throw the ball where it belongs. Good job Nolan!! Don t pay any attention to the trashers, there just stupid jealous, and probably know nothing about the sport.
Being an avid bowler myself, I bowled a 250 when I was 12. Never did accomplish a perfect game. A great accomplishment my young white brother. Now make more dreams come true for yourself.
@MrReaper666ish geez..here we go..look mr tweaker, the ONLY thing I am a bigot about is the fact that people of ALL races exploit this great country by their shallow sense of humanity. From the black welfare seeker that are very able to work to the white hypocrite (probably like you) that puts in 2hrs work in an 8 hr day. Or the asshole that would drive by a human (any race you idiot) broken down or in need of help. I'm just trying to be short here. You seem intelligent, so you should get the point. I dont have all day to bicker with vacuity. So be the best human you can be...and like jordan..kick rock with sandals tiny dancer.
Lol he did a great job in the Elite Youth Tour in Indiana! I looked over at him and I swore to myself that he looked like that kid you through the 300 on RU-vid! And I was correct. Pretty cool to see him bowl in person!!
Nolan Blessing (now 11 years old) just bowled in a Sweet 16 tournament offered to Youths 20 years and younger. 16 games all day and this 78 pound boy averaged 196 on 3 different Sport Shots moving pairs of lanes every game! He placed 5th! and won SMART money. daytonbowling.com/tournaments/results/ or daytonbowling.com/PDF/Sweet-16%20Game%20Tournament%20Results%202014.pdf for the actual field break out. He was youngest at tournament and beat many current high school and college bowlers! Nolan will be at Junior Gold in Buffalo in few weeks see how he can compete with the best at U12. I'll post his results!
Just because of Belmonte (and the way he learned to bowl), now that he's a successful Pro, I think it's a shame that younger kids see the two-handed delivery as the "in thing" or stylish. And worse yet, some coaches and parents encourage it. It's a huge mistake. It isn't cute or "in".... If someone lost his right leg as a young kid, and found a way to be an awesome bowler later in life, would that mean it's a good idea to start bowling after you voluntarily decided to cut your leg off?
I'm still amazed. It was the eigth frame that I got smart enough to start recording what turned out to be a magical game. Let me pose a thought...Does anyone else know anyone to ever bowl a 300 game weighing under 70 pounds? Not just 10 years old but look how small to throw a ball that consistent the entire game! Oh yeah, he carried those great hits because he used one of my old urethane 16 pound bowling balls (Purple Fab Hammer). Ball = 16 lbs. Nolan = 67 lbs! Again, just amazing...proud of you!
I read about a kid who bowled a 300 game at 10 years old maybe 10 to 15 years ago but he was a much bigger kid about 100 pounds Ina way Nolan reminds of Norm Duke small and light but an amazing release point and follow through I have met Norm r few times and he is an amazing person with down to earth personality I have met Nolan bit I am sure he has the same personality
well done Nolan iam proud of you for achieving a 300 game its not easy to do ive done it 4 times in my life keep up the awesome work Nolan you should keep in it and go pro when you can you should get a hold of guinnes world records for your age for a 300 game . keep on striking and hope to see you on tv on the pro bowlers tour some day
Craziest thing I've ever seen. Nice that you caught this on video. I've bowled since I was 7 years old and bowled in tons of leagues and have never seen anyone bowl in this unorthodox style and score good. I guess as long as you perfect your style that's all that matters. Ten years old...wow that's crazy.
Yall are criticizing sayin this is fake? Check again, this is not fake and since he can bowl better a lot of the people watching just don't say anything. He is a better bowler than most of the adult and youth league where I live. Just because he bowls two handed doesn't mean hes the worst bowler. Pro bowlers bowl this way. Even the greatest bowler Jason Belmonte bowls this way. So just because he bowls better than you, don't hate him. Congratulate him!!!
Congratulations young man!!!!! An impressive feat indeed. My personal best is ten...and only once did i achieve that. Bowling is not that easy...it takes a lot of practice....continued good luck to you. Succeed in school..that is what truly matters...and never EVER forget to give thanks to GOD for your life...and all that you do in it. Again.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Woww!! Way to go, kiddo!! That's amazing! My daughter is 7 and she bowls the SAME way--and it works for her too (not this awesome, but still works, nonetheless). Her coaches tried to teach her the "proper way", but she just couldn't do it. So she went back to bowling like you do, and she's been star bowler almost all quarter long!! Again, great job, hun! I wish I could bowl even half as good haha! Keep it up, sweetheart!!!
Thank you. I've been told that if technique and balance is good that I shouldn't switch. Everything is comfortable and easy flowing that I'm told to keep at it 2 handed and no reason to switch. Tell your daughter good job and good luck and keep at it!
Yep, if you get good results from that technique, and you can consistently repeat it then there is no reason to change what you're doing. Just stay open to change as you get older and your body changes. I went through something similar as a very successful junior golfer. Eventually I had to make some changes gradually as I got bigger and stronger.
He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. He didn't bowl in a league until he was 9 1/2 years old. The ball used was a 1992 Fab Purple Hammer urethane bowling ball. The ball is twice as old as Nolan. Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball.
The most impressive thing was how he took his 300 in stride! Adults are freakin...and Nolan is as cool as a cucumber...and to the haters, I say, “take a look at todays PBA bowlers and check out how many guys are using a 2-hand technique”.....A LOT!
Good job Nolan. If he ended the previous game with 3 strikes, he had a varipapa 300 by the 10 frame also. Too bad it wasn't taped by someone that knows how to use a camera.
+Michael Niemiera Maybe no points but its hard being consistent for most people when they don't have a good technique. But everyone's different just hope it holds up. Im sure as he gets older and gets coached and learns more about the game he'll really improve
Last Thursday, Kevin Thibeault Bowled his 2nd 300 game at my local house, way older than Nolan, sadly, it would be Kevin's last Youth Honor score, because at the end of August, He'll be eligible for Adult tournaments. So he won't be doing anything Youth based.
I'd love to hear from those that said the equipment was why he shot 300 once they found out it was a 20+ year old ball! And Jenna needs to learn about bowling.Using 2 hands is legal in any competition as long as the ball is drilled within the USBC specifications.I guess just because she can't do it she feels it's illegal? With his ball speed a new ball will hook way too early.Unless it's drilled really mild.If he works on balance and release he'll be successful. But he for sure will not be rolling like that when he's old.If he even continues to bowl. I'm not a fan of the 2 handed style. But I'm old fashioned so...just wish I was a teenager again just learning to bowl.I know how I'd be rolling the ball.;- )
And the camera doesn't show his score either. Some youth bowlers typically get a handicap in each match so that if they get a gutter ball in a frame, they can do the frame over. I once saw a guy in his 20's bowl two consecutive 300 games. How did he do it? For each frame that he didn't bowl a strike, he kept erasing it until getting a strike before moving on to the next frame.
Of course it's real. This isn't the PBA where every frame is televised from beginning to end. This is league competition. It wasn't apparent that he might bowl a 300 until the 7th or 8th frame. That's why we only see the last few frames. I know it was over 4 years ago, but good show Nolan!
Conner Nichols you clearly don't watch much bowling. No one starts recording until the end obviously. And rolling a 300 is much more common than you think. Especially nowadays with newer balls and the 2 hander style. I've personally seen plenty of 300s from kids about this age.
@Steve Scheunemann I don't know, and it really doesn't matter, a 10yr old shooting 300s and 800s at any house is an awesome accomplishment 🤷🏾♂️, and it's on usbc website so it's legit
I was a bowler and I only ever got around 200 at that age. He indeed has a strange technique but hey whatever works; I can't say I've ever bowled a 300! Nice going kid!
Congratulations to this young man. I know how it feels to bowl a 300 game. And only 10 years old? He’ll remember that for the rest of his life and hopefully it propels him into a successful bowling career. I’d like to put things in a little better perspective, and I’m not the old man sitting on his porch in the rocking chair talking about the good old days. In 1973, when I was 17 years old, I was the first junior bowler to ever bowl back to back 300 games, at Westlake Bowl (shoutout to WB!) in Daly City, just south of San Francisco. At that time there had been only seven other bowlers in the history of bowling, adults, pros, juniors, etc., that had bowled back to back 300 games. This was with plastic balls on wood lanes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually happy about the two handed bowlers now. It has allowed many more bowlers to begin bowling and get involved in the sport at a fair high-level, and quickly.
This seems fishy... His dad left this comment: He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. - So he only had his form for 1 year and bowled a 300? Either fake, you guys practice way too much, or he just got lucky. He didn't bowl in a league until he was 9 1/2 years old. - Mhm, so 1/2 year and he's all good to go for a 300? Cool story bro! The ball used was a 1992 Fab Purple Hammer urethane bowling ball. The ball is twice as old as Nolan. - Really doesn't matter lol Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball. - Mhm another fishy thing. Why would a person who weighs 67 pounds be throwing a 16 lb pound? Hahahah fake
For what it's worth, I bowled my first 300 (and averaging 205 at the time) only 15 months after I started (granted, I started at 20, not 10). Credit to YABA and solid coaching.
I've known him for about 4 years now and he used to throw all of his dad's old bowling balls (thus why they are 16lbs). My son bowls with/against him in tournaments and he is a very consistent bowler.
Many thanks, been searching for "what is a good average for a bowler?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Piylivern Remarkable Predominance - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to up your bowling game quickly minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
I'm not a troll. Two-handed bowling is not seen as respectable bowling by ones who bowl CORRECTLY and win correctly. If you can't hook the ball without being a two-hander then don't try to cheat.
It was obviously luck cuz he threw 3 different lines on all 3 shots, but man I give him credit and for his age and its great to see!.. Didnt get mine till I was 14.. And mine was also pretty lucky.. Had 1 jersey, a trip 10, and 2 mixers. I guess everyone needs a little luck to get 12 strikes in a row. Keep Bowling Nolan and keep practicing. Its all about having fun!
Awesome congrats kids!!! But the lanes are completely BLOCKED on a typical house shot. 3 shots never hit the same mark. 1st shot out to the 10, 2nd shot pulled inside, 3rd shot 15 board... Good luck on ur first real shot kid ur gonna be in for a long day. But he's on his way for sure! Good luck and good bowling kiddo!
Great form? Good grief, the poor kid looks like he's falling out of a tree. This just proves that ANYONE can get a 300 with today's equipment, regardless of ability. Absolutely sad what has become of bowling !
Just not you, right? He's a kid. Fucking ball is disproportionate to his body, so yeah, it's going to look odd. Go fucking bowl and stfu with your negative downer shit.
20alphabet and how many 300s do you have ? How many 800s do you have yea the new equipment helps but a 300 is still hard to do I have one myself but I won't say it's a walk in the park for anyone
How do we even know he threw the first 10 strikes? We dont, someone could have easily bowled for him, and then he just bowled the 10th frame. Im sorry to be a debby downer but I dont believe a 10 year old got a 300! Im 20 years old and have been bowling since I was 6 and the highest game ive gotten was a 265. Show more proof if he gets a 300! Not just the 10th frame
The 8th and 9th frame are actually video'd and listed on youtube as well. If you look at the scoring, no corrections (no frames listed in "white highlight" to show adjusted. Also, the league was sanctioned and if you go to bowl.com and look up his membership, the 300 is listed under achievements. Outside of that, only the 50 + witnesses that saw it!
I bowled in this league with Nolan, and I watched him bowl this game. Started watching around the 5th frame to the end. I can assure you that he DID in fact bowl this 300 by himself.
The actual 8th and 9th frame are on RU-vid as well and from the 50 to 75 witnesses and the Bowling proprietor whom submitted his 300 Ring Award, it seems pretty verified! Go to bowl.com and search Nolan Blessing membership and check under achievements for the 300. Don't know much more to do to verify.
To anyone who thinks this style looks odd.... Until Dick Fosbury won a gold medal in the high jump in 1968 nobody would have considered using what is now called the Fosbury flop. But today it is universally accepted as the preferred style. Just because it's not the way it's always been done doesn't mean it can't work.
That's a great turkey in the 10th but there is no way in hell he was sitting on 9 in a row with that hop, skip, and a jump approach. Keep bowling, kid.
GREAT JOB Nolan!! I'm 42 and still don't have a perfect game, and the great part is that will not be your last. If you haven't gone to buffalo yet Good Luck.
This kid is better at bowling than 14 (almost 15) year old me My high is 245 His high is 300 Age don’t matter and there isn’t any exceptions he’s just really good Kids that do that when they are young sometimes go to the PBA
Nolan is a great bowler but, I was at the tournament in Dayton as a 7th grader. And mr blessing you we're basically charcoaling your ball. You made your IQ tour fusion down to a 20 grit finish to suck up the oil. But it did not mess with your ball reaction. Therefor whomever bowled on the lane with you hade a lack of carry or an over-under reaction due to the lack of oil. My point is mr blessing how could you be teaching your son bad habits who is one of the best bowlers I have ever seen!
First of all, congrats on the 300. And I know there's some controversy over his style. The only thing is, I wonder if he's actually damaging his back without knowing it. I mean, it does seem like he is really putting his back in a really weird position while throwing an incredibly heavy ball.
I'm guessing that the handicap is 100percent of 180. If that is then you got a 300 @ a 150 average. I wish I could do that at 180 average. Still working for my first 300
If you look at the beginning it would have said the score under the strikes, but it doesnt. That means you put the strikes in. Look at the guy above him, he got a strike and it said his score in it. So it would say his to
Nolan, do you have an agent? I think you could get some sponsors and make some income from this accomplishment. You could contact makers of bowling balls, bowling shoes etc. Keep up the good work!
Just a guess but is he a fan of belmonte? Not because 2 handed but he actually has a similar style. Great job though I'm 17 only averaging 180 with a high 252
I don't get it. People say they didn't see the full game and things like that. If someone gets the front 9 in league, how would someone have the shots before the tenth frame? It's not like they can see the future and new before he bowled that the 300 would come. Just jealous critics! Congrats Nolan!
Pretty good bro. in bowling I only care about averages, not about scoring 300's, or 900 series and stuff. Averages is the most important in bowling. It shows consistency.
In time you will be an alcoholic with a rubber right hand. Just kidding, great job, that was amazing! Keep it up!!!! You'll be in the big leagues in no time!
