Funny thing is that you call these people insects but that's exactly how Nolan viewed as humans, cause to him we are as much of an insect as you consider the thraxans to us, so you basically showing that Nolans point of view is understandable.
I highly recommend DC Animation in my opinion it puts live action to shame. Batman: The Animated Series is hands down the greatest adaptation of a comic book character. Also it gave us Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and The Joker the greatest to ever do it. There are tons of amazing animated DC films and movies that are worth watching. The Dark Knight Returns is a must watch Peter Weller aka Robocop is phenomenal as Batman in that film. Kevin Conroy and Peter Weller are hands down the best Batman voices.
Eve can easily make cash like getting one dollar bills and re arainging the ink to look like twenty or 100 dollar bills. Like she did with the coin in the Atom Eve special, It's still a federal crime. Finding a gold apple...say it's been in the family for years isn't a crime.
You cant create dollar bills because theyre all coded and tracked by the Federal Reserve. In a superhero world its probably harder to get away with. Redditors estimate the gold apple to be around 200k. Its probably way less tho because finding a buyer is hard.
@edgegarcia4794 Heh, I think I saw you bring this up on another Invincible vid. To add to what gapsule said, Eve would literally have to change counterfeit laws, since there's no way she could create a bill that wasn't a copy of another.
If you like this Martian, then you would love Alan Tyduk in resident alien. He plays an alien who crash lands on earth and becomes the town doctor. And things get crazier from there. And the townsfolk are great too.
What i don't understand is why the lady who duplicates just doesn't carry around a bunch of guns or weapons and equip herself's with them, no just get annihilated trying to melee.
As much of an asshole he is, Eve's dad isn't entirely "wrong," just harsh. He just wants to at least feel like somebody who matters as what he is, a husband and father. He just expresses himself in very harsh (worse than just blunt) ways to the point of being disrespectful. Definitely an issue with pride, but otherwise he's just as "meaningless" as anybody else compared to Eve. Overall takes life too seriously.
Season 2 was kind of a let down. Especially after, as you said yourself, such an amazing season 1 ending. S2 just felt so incredibly slow and drawn out. So much filler
Imagine having a gold fish in a bowl or a big dog who’s life spans are about 5 to 8 years. That’s how Nolan saw humans. But when he had his existential crisis he found the value of life so saying their insects because humans live so much longer them, well, is exactly what Nolan was saying about humans. So low key you understand his pov.
Even the "pet" comment. How else do you describe something you love, but know you will outlive by a wide margin? Not saying it's cool. But the comparison is understandable in that context.
Atom Eve could probably make notes that looked like cash, but the problem is the serial numbers, they are generated by a complicated cryptographic algorithm, random numbers would come up as fakes. Also, the water mark might be a problem.
the fact that people thought the Thaedus was evil is crazy to me. They forget one thing HE TOLD ALLEN ABOUT THE MOLE! WHY WOULD HE DO THAT IF HE WAS THE MOLE? Are his actions mysterious yes but thinking he is the mole is kinda head empty thinking. ALSO, people don't apply modern day morality to the actions of prehistoric societies yet judge a being who is THOUSANDS of years old who has lived for THOUSANDS of years a certain way. Would you be angry at someone raised in a cult for beliving what they were told from birth? No, now amplify that by a thousand and try to understand how much programming Nolan is fighting against. Would you completely change your view on the world after spending a few minutes in a new place? No but it could start something like the 20 years did for Nolan. In conclusion I feel like people just like hating Nolan without actually criticaly thinking about his perspective on life
You expect modern day people to actually be intelligent and think. Too many these days apply only their current way of thinking and remaining quite close-minded to how things work for others. Hell you see that from just the regional levels reacting to others, from just within the Americas, and that's not even getting to other countries/cultures.
Something from the first season that got me was; "I will not spend another minute living amongst these animals". Then homie had to go get him an ant farm cause I reckon the animals were just too much to handle. 🤣
How would you describe something that isn't your species, something that you love nonetheless, but ultimately know they'll be a blip in your lifespan? Not saying it's cool, it was an out-of-pocket comment. But you can see where the comparison might be apt.
Am I crazy or at the end when it shows the viltrumite that is a rebel is it me or is that the guy who voices Optimus prime cause when he said that last line I thought that was Optimus prime
Hello Mary. It’s been some time since you saw the first episode of Invincible Season 2. I was surprised when you said that it’s been 5 months when you started. Looking back now, a lot has happened since then, now that you’re catching up. Glad to see you in this again. P.S. Shapesmith is voiced by Ben Schwartz who also voiced Sonic the Hedgehog and Thaedus is voiced by none other than the legendary Peter Cullen, who is still voicing Optimus Prime from Transformers after all these years since the 80s. In case you were wondering if they sound familiar to you.
Good to see you back to reacting to Invincible, Mary! 😄 You're lucky, too. You get to jump into most of the season all at once, while most of us had to wait around 4 months after the 4th episode dropped to start viewing the rest of the season.
