Trial run for us? This is not even going to be 10% of what it's going to be. They're literally just data mining on a legal scale so that they know what they can and can't get away with. If you don't think that every government agency isn't watching this super closely, then you're nuts. As far as tech that's going to be safe and useful to the general public, this may never be it.
To think I knew him in college and even played rugby with him for a bit. Figured he was gonna do something amazing, but this is just beyond amazing to see.
What was the diving accident dude had that paralyzed him like this do you know? I got tons of respect for him for just being able to fight and stay optimistic in such a tough situation
@@chaoticchaos894 i dont have the particulars. Im just going off of what he mentioned in the video. I just remember after we graduated college I looked him up on fb and he was in his chair with his family asking to help purchase a van fitted for him.
@@martianhighmile9088 I mean we werent close but I did in fact know him seeing as we had the same majors/classes and were in the same organizations. We just floated in the same circles but he was one of the few who was very memorable by how he carried himself.
yeah it puts shit into perspective ^^ "why am i complaining about my hurt toe, this dude cant even wipe his own ass...." the only ones i dont pitty are people with down syndrome.... why? just watch them do things for 10 minutes.... you'll see unbridled joy in life.... those people are the happiest people on earth ^^
@@xChimkin ehh. I disagree with a lot of people there. Id rather live in a poor or war torn country than be paralyzed.. there’s a lot of people who live in 1st world countries who have just awful lives too. You see videos of some tribe fishing or w/e and they are genuinely happy. Idk, just my opinion
@@Ascendsean35but your chances of survival being in one of those countries is very slim .. I get what you’re saying but war countries are the worse case scenario or extreme poverty dying of starvation or torture/bullets I’d take being paralyzed at that point in a safe country
canditate for a trojan horse technology, they use the excuse of disabled ppl as if they care about the 'disabled' , neuralink will be forced for everyone so the govrnment could control ur mind just like with phones they got u because its conveniant but they gave it to u so they can spy and track u
@@cjskelton7603 someone that has a positive attitude and is motivated to go through with this. I'm sure it's not easy. And they're not testing eye tracking software are they? What got your panties in a bunch?
I feel like the guy has done his due diligence and researched all of that… feel like that was a nervous smile like that’s nice of you but that won’t really help me.
Dam its nice to get a breeze of good news, I hope dude comes back fully on his recovery! It’s really great to hear him describe his experience and explain it in that type of detail, truly and experience that I am completely baffled and astonished by. That would’ve sucked if they pulled the rug on him, so glad they didn’t. Just🤯 We are living in the future finally!
you were the first. all of this is just electrical impulses being sent to your brain from the matrix. everyone you know is an agent and they're lying when they say they love you.
As a man who was paralyzed 4 years ago racing Motocross I am happy for these breakthroughs. Luckily for me i have gotten some sensation back and a little motor function. Stem cells and this are our best bet
My sister was perfectly healthy, she suddenly became paraylised neck-down at age of 18. She is 28 . We are in uk. Stem cells are banned in uk. I think. Will it help her do u think? Should i take her to usa to get it done? Thank you for reading
@@reidcacaro2919Yeah they recently updated it to 2 unskippable ads. No worries though, it’s just one in the morning and one before bed. Super convenient
God bless you buddy. The feedback back and forth is crucial to success. Not only the implant learns, the person learns what the implant needs to function. I hope I see you walking around someday and your struggles are a thing of the past.
You know it's just a money grab right? If they really wanted to help this guy they can do it quite nicely without a chip implant. Wirelessly. What's wrong with you people. These companies don't gaf about anyone's health or "healthcare"
It’s already being done to the general public. It’s been going on for years. They can also read all of your thoughts and memories as well as see what you are seeing. They can also manipulate your dreams. They can completely hijack some people physically and make them move and speak. Not to mention voice to skull tech, where you can audibly hear music sounds and voices straight to your head even if you plug your ears. It’s wild man. I’ve experienced this all first hand. I’ve literally played tekken in my head against these people who ever “they” are. I have a few theories.
@@TheSlicer40 there’s nothing anyone can do about this unless you have some incredibly large defense business with billions of dollars in expenditures. It’s too far gone and too much money in it to stop this unless some divine intervention steps in. Just my opinion.
I saw a story where doctors used two Bluetooth devices to relay electrical impulses between the two portions of a severed spinal cord. The dude was able to move his legs but has a lot of rehab ahead of him to learn to walk again. Incredible.
It kinda weird they didnt figure it out decades ago, since thats really all the CNS is-an electrical circuit sending signals down a ‘wire’ (spinal cord)
What a fascinating point in history we’re in. God bless this man for being brave and excited about being a pioneer in this sort of thing. He’s got a great attitude and seems very eager to learn and contribute to this research. Long term the benefits are endless, let’s just hope for more pros than cons.
You know, with drones and such this got me thinking about farming oddly enough. I know lots of people that have tractors that will drive by GPS. I would imagine it is not a far stretch to have people driving their tractors from their houses someday rather than even having a big cab with AC and radios and such.
Im quite fascinated at the fact that they had to map out body movements to controls on the interface. I was assuming that the electrical impulses or the neural link would be monitoring “thoughts”. The thought of the motion of up down left or right would be moving the cursor or for example thinking pf a sentence in your internal monologue would help type out a sentence. I know the technology is still new but im interested to see if thats what the future holds.
That future might be one where people are okay doing anything and everything in public. Not just being seen, but recorded doing literally anything. It will either be shamelessness or fear to do anything that might be judged by society. It will also be a future where you can commission an AI to make a fake video of anyone doing anything, so it won't even matter to a certain degree.
@jackreacher2095 nope if I was ever paralyzed from the beck down, nothing but a talking head, I'd find someone to help end that nightmare. This chip isn't going to help him move again. Just another one of musks scams. There's people who think this will make them neo😂😂 just another hustle from the world's greatest snake oil salesman.
Man we all really take for granted being able to move around with all our limbs and even those with prosthetics gotta see this guy and feel thankful they still have motor functions and can feel things from the neck down... Dude seems optimistic and has a good outlook I'm truly pulling for hin to regain some bodily autonomy even if its just his hands and torsa 🙏
Just subscribed🤙 Love the size and variety of your garden, i only wish i could just work at a farm like that. Im very interested in the different cultivars and love growing them too 💯🔥Whats the average flower time for the India strains? Caint wait to see the progress🤘💨💨💨
Imagine having that and everything going great but one day someone from 4chan hacks it and just spams you everyday with thousands of frog memes at 2am. 😂
@@oliveeisner8964 propaganda tool? he's literally considering going against neuralink and do stem cells but no one will accept his case. He says that halfway through. fool.
He believes the stem cells will provide him a little more sensation that would allow the neuralink to work more efficiently. However, the neuralink study is a controlled study, any outside influence will obscure the data, and could ruin the study. That's what he was saying.
Because the data would be obscured. He’s in an experiment that will change history. People sacrifice their lives in meaningless war and conflict every day. His life is better- just because it’s not perfect doesn’t matter. Sacrifice of a small bit of functionality for the greater good is important. Commies don’t understand. They think everyone should have everything right now whether or not it’s going to lead to better outcomes in the future
He's so right. Thinking the word "onomatopoeia" is nothing more than an electrical impulse and there's not likely to be a consistent way to 'imagine' that word, the computer will learn to interpret that signal.
This is like the interview on I am legend, where the Drs are talking about figuring out the cure to cancer” then the next scene is the helicopter crashing into the bridge.
I remember all the media jumping on "eLon bAd" train when the wires got loosened, and they were shouting about doom & gloom and how it was all garbage. This interview gives actually context and the truth about it, and how they fixed it quickly and how Noland is actually grateful for it. Important to see how easily the media can be used to skew public perspective of people not capable of looking at all information.
Joe wants him to go do the stem cells in south america, but he can't afford it and applied for research treatment but he never heard back. Hopefully Joe finds it in his heart to pay for it for him.
Joe saying “I will connect you with them” is his way of saying I got you covered without getting the unwanted notoriety for doing so. *edit: it seems like*
Gee you gotta be a heartless piece of shit to listen to this guy talk about how much his life has changed and instantly turn it into a point to try and shit on elon
Joe seems genuinely interested in helping this guy. Would love to live to see a future where people don't have to live with such debilitating injuries.
Unless it's mandatory to get one implanted, who cares? If it cures some kinds of neurological issues then awesome...You probably carry your phone everywhere anyway.
A few questions i could think of off hand, how often to they do updates and/or fix/patch gliches/bugs & when a new version comes out do they stop maintence on the older versions or shut the systems down forcing you to buy new ones? maybe they could import some kind of membership program where you get no ads + free brain surgery's for the new version each time? also could a magnet damage this device? some of that is trolling, i hope him & everyone stay safe, happy & healthy, have a great day, week, month, year & life! hope every day is better then the next! STAY BLESSED!
Imagine this tech being used in a vindictive way. Like in the future ,some dude can just goes on a killing spree with what is essentially an Avatar irl
It's clear what's going on here to me. They are now trying to make this new technology seem normal by putting a face to the first person to have this implanted. Not surprised to see this on the JRE since it's also clear what they use Joe for since he has such a large audience. Sure if this tech is used for good purposes it sounds amazing for people that have a real need for it, but let's be HONEST here. WE ALL KNOW how this new technology will be used and it won't be primarily for GOOD purposes. Prove me wrong Elon. I hope you do, but I HIGHLY DOUBT IT.
I would agree with you both except for the fact that nobody has ever really managed to use Joe, he's close friends with direct enemies of the WEF and clearly is actually interested in this technology and not just puppeting someone elses misguided opinions for attention like most people for example you right now lol
