Really beautiful bows. I have your Turkish base bow, and it is very comfortable and smooth to shoot, so I can only imagine how these bows present. Keep making these videoes. Thanks.

Jobb lett volna, ha a muszlim zene helyett erről a csodálatos íjról beszél közben!!!

I am very happy to say that I am now the proud owner of the second bow featured in this video. It is beautifully made.

Chris, how's the draw? Where does the stacking begin?

Fairly steady and smooth, which I think it's typical to bows with soft or small siyahs. It starts to stack a bit around 28", but I can pull it between my eye and ear (about 30"), where it doesn't go much further. It does appear that any further beyond 30" is not safe. I don't have other Turkish bows, but based on what I have read, the draw length is comparable to historical Turkish bows. This specific bow was measured at 48 lbs at 28". I am guessing it's around 55 lbs at 30". I measured this bow against what Grozer listed on his website on the Turkish L7 (see here: www.nomadbows.com/index_m.htm ). This bow is actually about 5cm (or 2 inches) shorter than 120cm when strung, but it's still slightly bigger than the historical Turkish bows. If you have a longer draw, I recommend the L2 Tatar bow, which I also purchased with the Turkish bow. The draw is also smooth and up to 32". I think Grozer has just made quite a few L2s (see the photos on his Facebook profile, which is public). You can contact the shop. Grozer's assistant, Szandra, is very helpful and could let you know if they have bows in stock that might work for you. The "stock" website (nomadbows.com/stk/index.php ) is refreshed almost daily. You can also keep an eye on it.

I forgot to mention that the short Turkish bow featured in this RU-vid video is not the typical L7. This was made with exotic wood (and it's heavier than normal) with painting. The typical L7 is not made with exotic wood/painting, and is cheaper than the version shown in this video.

Thank you for the detailed answer. What you are describing is in line with my experience with some other Ottoman bows. I have checked the links, looks like the site is down (update: the site is online, just a typo in the address). Anyway, congrats on your new bow!

Hi Greg -- Just want to let you know that Grozer listed a few in-stock Turkish bows (both normal and short) and Tatars on the website this week.

About 30" for the shorter L7.
