@@madjack821 It is essential but not in this case, If he wanted to do something else ok but don't call it Krav Maga , Imagine taking Jiu jitsu and modify it , It is not Jiu jitsu anymore . Same in this case , don't call it krav maga , cuz it isn't . Everything is different , from the base stance and first kicks to the last ones . Krav Maga has even a belt system , and it is done in a kimono because Imi was inspired by Jigoro Kano's judo and added it . Another thing , if you look online for Krav Maga you will se hundreds of so called " Krav Maga security " Krav Maga army " Krav Maga blah blah blah , They are all different . Do you know who is Yaron Lichtenstein , He is the reconigzed by the Israel , he is teaching the real form of krav maga . Do you know was is the Bukan School Of Krav Maga ? This is the school founded by Imi and Yaron , if you search on youtube Krav Maga Bukan u will find videos with it . Krav Maga's all the kicks , punches etc are in hebrew , You learn them in an order like in karate . I have a lot of things to say about this .

@@madjack821 Krav Maga is a martial art and yes it means contact combat . I am a student at the Bukan School of Krav Maga and I had direct contact with Yaron Lichtenstein , one of the first Imi's students . He told us how Imi created Krav maga , first of all Imi was a boxing champion and an international gymnastics champion . After that he entered the army. The first name of Krav Maga was actually Imi's self defence . And by saying all of this I want to emphazise the fact that Imi created a martial art and some so called masters modified it to sell better to the public , to make it look cooler in military uniforms and other things . Yaron Lichtenstein is recognized in the Israel as the grandmaster of krav maga . Why aren't this people following what Imi created , it doesn't look like krav maga . Darren Levine is a pioneer of Krav Maga in America. Because he's one of the original pioneers, he's older than someone like Lior. We all don't stay speedy forever. Darren deserves respect for helping to bring this system to the masses!
