Like the blend of thermal forming, thoughtful features, yet a traditional look with the use of Horween leather in this offering from Nomad. Nicely done!
Three takeaways: 1) Nice wallets and good review! 2) I've noticed plants on the table during the reviews. Nice touch! 3) I had to rewind and play the Cash and Card test a few times because I was jamming out to the groovy tunes!
All of these are solid but a little high on the price. Just got in a Capone money clip from Ashland and it’s my first wallet made from Horween leather and good lord it’s amazing. The weight of the leather just feels like quality in the hand. Keep up the good reviews
@@jerryroberts631 it’s very nice and functional. Easy to get cards out of every slot. I think Ashland is having a 10 yr sale/ special leather stock this coming week. Might be the perfect time to invest
I got one of them(bifold)last week, the quality is excellent, the leather used is excellent too, but I don't understand why many people say that it is made in China and think it's low quality when come from China.iPhone is made by China too. Is it low quality? pls change your mind bro.
They are dullards. But I think the reviewer should make it clear that they are assembled in China, not designed or the material produced. Unfortunately the majority of peopple that say shit like "I don't buy stuff from China" have a house full of Chinese made products and probably shop at WalMart. Oh yeah, many of them will wear a certain red hat that is made in, you guessed it, China.
I have the Nomad Slim, bought back in Jan, which...looks to be the rebranded Card Plus. Dimensions are the same, but the interior design is slightly different. On the side that doesn't have the notch, the Nomad Slim had 3 slots for cards, with a back slot for either cards or cash, so- a total of 4 card slots potentially. New design, on the same side, has reduced to 2 slots, plus card/cash slot, for a potential of 3 slots. Also- Nomad Slim was $60, and now- a 50% increase to $90. That's a hefty hike! You can occasionally find a 10% off coupon. But still love the leather, still has a great smell. Been scanning the landscape for a bifold for my kid, and...the Nomad bifold may fit the bill.
I also have the Nomad Slim Wallet and absolutely love it. Looking at the review, it looks like the Card Plus is a downgrade if you're getting less leather for a higher price. Granted, I still like Nomad's designs over most wallet alternatives though. I definitely can't justify paying what it costs now for one though
I absolutely loved this review. I decided to purchase the Card Wallet Plus which would replace my bulky standard wallet. I also got lucky because Nomad is currently running a sale so I was able to snag the Card Wallet Plus for $76 (shipping included). I can't wait to get this wallet in hand.
@@tylerwilliams6429 Hey, Tyler! Man I'm in love with this wallet. The slim profile is nice and a pleasant change from carrying a bulky wallet. I would suggest brown over black though. I went with the black leather and it's a wonder wallet but I think brown look better as it ages. My only nitpick. But I went with black because all of my everyday carry items are black.
Great job on the reviews and information included 🙂👍🏻 Not overly impressed with the wallets though. Would far sooner go Ashland Leather or Craft & Lore, etc for something (I feel) is better for the money.
Excellent Video! I'm definitely getting a Nomad wallet next year, looks like ill be purchasing the Bifold. How was the leather? do you recommend it and is it top quality.
Just started to watch your channel, so maybe this is a glitch or is explained elsewhere, but as an engineer I tend to focus on the data and your ratings table totally flummoxed me. You have 5 items rated: Quality, Price, Features, Usability, and Perception. You say the maximum is 50, which means that either each item = 10 pts max, or the average of the item max ratings =10 (some could have higher or lower weighting). So far, so good, but you have these wallets rating 35 (out of 50 would be pretty good) except that the numbers add up to 17. Seems to be a factor of 2 error in there somewhere. Maybe your scale went from 10 to 5 and, uh, something else happened? Great reviews by the way!
Three fantastic wallets, the card wallet plus is my favorite.. might be my new edc carry. The regular card wallet is the route that Magpul shoulda went with their DAKA edc wallet - make the cash slot taller so it's easier to pull cash from it.
I have the card plus and after a year it’s stretched out with basic cards. I use one card for each slot. I use about 5 cards. If you flip it and shake it the cards fall out rather easily. Have gotten many compliments on it. Very slim. However I prefer a more minimalistic approach and don’t really prefer a bifold. Currently using the distill union wally 4.0. I switch out between them every now and then depending if I’m traveling or not. Overall it’s a great product.
@@chrisridd9423not really as long as you don’t flip your wallet and shake it, which you literally have no reason to ever do. Sounds to me like it makes taking the cards out much easier than it would be if the card slots were so tight they’re death gripping your cards. Don’t want to be holding up a line trying to take your debit/credit card out. I don’t own one yet, but I doubt his cards are falling out with normal usage.
You lost me at “Made in China.” Doesn’t matter where they are designed. You would think that the owners would pass on the savings to the customers but it’s obvious what they are doing. Sure, I buy things that are made in China but if I have a clear choice, I’ll support Made in USA as much as I can. I currently have multiple wallets from Open Sea Leather, Lost Dutchman and others and I’ll continue supporting them. Still, I enjoy your reviews, keep them coming!
I tried looked over the website and thought these were made in the USA. They hide the fact that they are made in China on the website. I didn’t even know until I got my tracking number and it said coming from Hong Kong so I messaged them and they confirmed it’s assembled in China with American Hoween leather. For the price I figured it was American made. It arrived today and was very well made so I didn’t really want to hassle with returning it and kept it. Wish I knew it was made in China before I ordered! Oh well next time I will do better research.
I really love their classic but slim bifold design but the deal breaker here for me is the exterior quick access card slot. Had it not been for the quick access slot on the outside this would've a definite buy but I'll have to keep looking around!
Very expensive and still made in China. Imagine if they were made in the USA. Made in China, that's a no for me. But they look good, loved the black one.
