Since February 2021 people from all over the world who are able to work remotely anywhere with good internet - aka. the Digital Nomad - came to Madeira Island, and more specifically to the picturesque village of Ponta do Sol, to be part of a community founded by the Regional Government of Madeira islands, Start Up Madeira and the digital nomad Gonçalo Hall.
