yup, the end of the andy kerr years fanfuckingtastic, but tom is great too & he's been there twice as long...but god I love this band...any one who's seen them live knows it's one of the best shows you'll ever see. thanks for posting
Cheers: I saw Nomeansno in 1986 when they opened for the Adolescents at their first reunion show at Fender's in Long Beach CA. Being from Fullerton, a bunch of us piled into a van and bought beer and got there ridiculously early. We were at the club like an hour before the first band went on, and there were maybe five other people there besides our troop. Jeers: I had no idea who Nomeansno were, I didn't know what they were called, they were just some random nobody opening band, so I paid zero attention to them and have no recollection of seeing them that day. About a year later I bought Sex Mad because Rodney On the ROQ played the song Dad on his show and I thought it was fucking awesome. It was a bit after that when I was in my room and was looking at the flyer for that Adolescents Fender's show: "From Canada- Nomeansno." I had never really paid any attention to it before. I'd read the name on the flyer as some weird foreign nonsense name, something like "no-mey-ans-no." Then it clicked... "Ah! No Means No! The Sex Mad band!" It's not easy being this slow.
Heard this on WKDU in Philly way back in the 80's, loved it immediately. Walked into a NOMEANSNO concert in Bozeman, Mt in '92 not knowing they did this song and was totally blown away. Got to talk to the bassist afterwards, I think he was bald at the time, had to thank them for this song as I loved to rock out to it in my studio. Thanks for posting, love revisiting this.
+saintJ695 There are so many things I'd like to say 'bout and to Andy Kerr... I simply love him as the real great artist he is. For any reason he's absent, but anyone knows it. This world fuken needs him.
