Oh my God !!when Nomzamo spoke about visibility and being a tangible of a dream realized 🙌🏼🙌🏼I just realized that that’s what Jesus came to do on earth ,in his ministry ,his teachings and his presence ,so that we could experience God and the kingdom of heaven and feel it’s reality so the world would not bury us .My God😭🙌🏼what a revelation
When she said "I grew up not seeing it is unfair!" I had to think back and it hit me. I did see it. I just never internalized it or thought it through as a possibility for myself. In hindsight I recognize the seeds.
I always say one day some will run out of people to blame who never came to their aid, all the things people failed to do for one and one question will remain, What did u do for urself?....so her statement hit me.
I'm out of the system, but it aches me that there are youth back there slowly losing hope, feeling like they will never get out of the system. God help us to make a difference and show them its possible.
That's true prue. Will keep in touch about paying forward in the near future. Rural and township schools need to "see and touch the dream" so it can be realised 😎
I remember back in 2016, there was a woman’s event (our school was invited) and Nomzamo Mbatha was a guest speaker there, she talked about where she came from and how hard it was for her… little did she know that there was a little girl who left that place feeling like she too could achieve everything she wants because she saw some who did the same coming from a similar background. Her talking about how important representation is just makes me so happy cause she was/is my Siyabonga Nomvethe. I love her sm ❤
What she said about leaving whilst the music is still playing will remain with me forever. Only the vessel knows and understands that which is beyond the physical!!
When you continue to make yourself RELATABLE, after the fame, you will know continued respect and success. Kudos to uNomzamo for being that, modest and more.
Nomzamo is a gifted speaker. I enjoyed this. I hear her when she speaks about the power of visibility, but realistically it isn't that easy, nor is it always fruitful. Maybe if there can be other ways of being visible. The problem is that the system has broken us so much that we begin to hate anything that is good if it's not happening to us. Jealousy. As wonderful as it was for Nomvete to be visible for young people like Nomzamo, I ask myself if how he ended up wasn't because of this "visibility".
