In my opinion, the Mass Effect trilogy is the greatest scifi story ever told.

Horizon Zero Dawn has one of the best stories I've experienced in any medium in a long time. It's really fascinating stuff

Mass Effect was the first game series that made me tear up more than once , amazing characters and beautiful soundtrack are a big part of that.

FemShep is best Shep regarding Mass Effect. Jennifer Hale's voice acting just kicks the series up several notches, it's incredible to play through.

There are so many Elder Scrolls Online trailers, and as Hauke says, this is the first one. They are all brilliant, the Summerset one, the Morrowind one and the Elseweyr ones are particulary brilliant.

There is a Female-shepard version of the Mass Effect trailer you saw!

The red-headed elf in the ESO trailer's armor is called the "Elven Hero Armor". It exists in game as a purchasable costume with some alterations. The other two characters' armor also exists in game, as the Nord Hero Armor(big dude with axe). And the Breton Hero Armor (archer/ninja guy). All have some differences between the trailer and the game. So that's the name of their outfits in case you want to make your own and need references. One of the best features about games like ESO, WoW, SWTOR, FFXIV, or similar RPGs is that you can make your character look the way you want. You can walk around nearly naked in some cases, or fully armored, or somewhere in between. There are even sites where people show off their characters. There's subreddits for it as well.

Elder scrolls online is a mmo that when you start you pick one of 3 factions and participate in wars to gain majority control of the map for your faction. Then once in control the highest contributing player gets crowned Emperor for a time period and then you do it all over again.

ESO trailers follow the three Heroes of their three alliances. Even though Elder Scrolls Online is only a part of Elder Scrolls history set in 2nd era when great Empire got fragmented into Three Alliances which waged a war among each other in the backdrop of the invasion of Deadric Prince Molag Bal of mortal plain.

Horizon Zero is in a much much future timeline. In their time, Ancient humans (that is us) made thier own doom. The AI and machine lived on and these people are the humans growing again in a much different world.

I don't know if you would be interested in this: reacting to all of the opening cinematics of the Fallout games. It's a post apocalyptic role playing game that was first released in 1997. Also, I'm glad you got to around to The Elder Scrolls Online. What you saw was part 1 of 4 (2 of 5 if you include the non cinematic announcement trailer) leading up to launch. The Arrival, The Siege, and The Confrontation will complete the quadrilogy.

I didn't play many games but holey Horizon Zero Dawn has so much story and lore to explore, I didn't expect that

Some info about the MASS EFFECT trailer and some lore: FIRSTLY, IT HAS A REALLY DARK STORY. The gargantuan ships that landed on Earth and started destroying the city are called Reapers, an unfathomably ancient race of machines who conduct a Galaxy-wide Harvest every 50,000 years, wiping out all advanced organic civilizations. The grey zombie looking things are called Husks, which the Reapers create as ground troops. Converting people to Husks isn't the only way that Reapers win though, as they also emit an irresistibly powerful mind control called Indoctrination and one doesn't even need to be in the presence of a Reaper to be Indoctrinated. It can also be caused by prolonged exposure to their technology and Indoctrinated agents are deployed to sow chaos among populations. The guy and the girl @9:43 are COMMANDER SHEPARD (whom we can also play as a Woman, voiced by the legendary Jennifer Hale) and LIEUTENANT-COMMANDER ASHLEY WILLIAMS of the Systems Alliance (Humanity's military, exploratory, economic spearhead and the body that represents Earth and the Colonies in Citadel space). The Citadel is an enormous Space Station, and the seat of the Council (basically the Galactic equivalent of the UN). Aside from holding the ranks I mentioned, Shepard and Williams are also Council SPECTRES (Special Tactics and Recon). The Spectres are an elite group of Operatives selected from a number of different species and their primary responsibility is to preserve galactic stability by whatever means necessary. Spectres, who exclusively answer to the Council, are effectively laws unto themselves, as they can work however they see fit and the Council prefers not to know the exact details of how a Spectre accomplishes their mission in some cases (given that the methods can range from careful diplomacy to acts of terrorism). Spectre status CAN be revoked, but this only happens when Spectres start taking Intel from another source like Cerberus or The Shadow Broker and/or become an enemy of the Citadel. We can take Shepard's personality down the paths of being a Paragon, a Renegade, even a mix of both and Ashley is one of the Squad mates that BroShep can pursue a relationship with. However, her presence in the Trailer is for the sake of marketing as opposed to being a bit of canon, because SHE CAN DIE in the opening game in the Trilogy (depending on Player Choice).

Horizon zero dawn is my favorite game of all time, you experience your own story in the present while also discovering clues about a story from the past that connects to yours, it keeps you wanting to know more about what happened and how humanity got to that point, the gameplay being amazing is the cherry on top

Horizon: Zero Dawn is (as if yet) a stand alone single player game, so there aren't really that many trailers. The game itself is gorgeous however. All the scenes you saw were directly from it. And the world is both beautiful and feels like a vast, varied and vibrant place to explore.

Yoo you should watch the introductions to the Vault Hunters in the Borderlands games!! Defiantly a must! And watch "Krieg: A Meat Bicycle Built for Two" also borderlands. Edit: Also check out Meet Them All for Team Fortress 2!

Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my FAVOURITE games of all time.

There is a LOT of elder scrolls literature and lore. I think out of all the gaming universes out there, you would enjoy it the most.

The Mass Effect 3 trailers also had a "FemShep" version The man you couldn't remember was Lance Reddick. He was in the TV show Fringe, and most recently the concierge in the John Wick movies. He recently passed away.

I honestly think HannaH would've lost her mind if she'd seen the FemShep version of the ME3 trailer.

Mass Effect: A Trilogy. All three games build up to the climatic Finale of ME3. In-game lore that doesn't need explaining since it does it for you and the story is very different from anything I played at the time it was released. At first I thought it was a star wars run off but instead got a very mature version of a space odyssey that made me eat my words lol. The primary protagonist can be whatever gender you want along with a backstory you create. The games choices and decisions built on each other for each title thus will decide the outcome and consequences of ME3

You need to do Destiny 2's lunch trailers "Last Call" and "Rally the troops" Nathan Fillion and Lance Riddick are phenomenal in them

The Elder Scrolls Online takes place during the 2nd Era, during an event called the Planemeld where the Daedric Prince Molag Bal sought to merge Tamriel (the continent you play on) with his realm of Coldharbour (frozen hell). During this time as well, the Three Banners War was taking place, between 3 factions: The Aldmeri Dominion (made up of High Elves, Wood Elves, and Khajiiti cat-men), the Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs), and the Ebonheart Pact (Nords, Dark Elves, and Argonian lizard-men). These are the factions you see the 3 heroes fighting for in the trailer, they're attacking an Imperial stronghold in the province of Cyrodiil to take control of the Empire. There are a lot of great cinematics, however most have zero voice acting so be prepared for that. ESO trailers are more lore/world based storytelling, as opposed to WoW's character driven story.

I'm recommend "Annie origin" from League of Legends, the animation and art are great.

In the Elder Scrolls online, there are 3 main factions as you can see by the characters in the trailer and on the logo. The Daggerfall Covenant, represented by the archer in the trailer and the lions head on the logo, the Ebonheart Pact, represented by the warrior fighting in the crypt and the dragon head on the logo, and the Aldmeri Dominion, represented by the elven mage and the eagle head on the logo. These 3 factions all war amongst themselves for control of the continent of Tamriel hence the 3 way standoff seen in the trailer

Horizon Zero Dawn was a big surprise to me, as a game. I wasn't expecting something that engaging. The trailer you've watched was made from game footages. There are also other trailers, even one CGI version. There's a sequel on the way: Horizon Forbidden West. The trailer is gorgeous!

Great reactions Hannah I am so happy you liked the Mass Effect 3 trailer. Mass Effect is one of my favorite game series. The story, Writing, the world-building, and the characters are all very done. I think you world love the games and there are books for Mass Effect made by the writers of the games.

Elder scrolls has the most hype trailers. Give Dragon Age lore a try!!! It has lot of characters, it has books, a animated movie, and such a relatable world

With mass effect you can actually play as a female character. You get to customize your own character and.... not gonna lie... the female voice actor nailed it

The actor, who's voice, you can remember was an FBI agent from the tv show Fringe. As for Mass Effect 1 to 3, you don't have to play a male Shepherd if your female because there is a female Shepherd.

Horizon Zero Dawn have the best and most original story in a game ever, love that game with all of my heart.

Mass Effect was such a great trilogy. I like how they do alternate version of some of the trailers for both Male and Female Shepard.

So there were two Mass Effect 3 cinematics made. One with the male character and one with the female character. You can essentially decide the main character's gender at the beginning of the game and carry their story through all three games. :)

And these are why we love playing RPG games, the story hooks you in and it's like watching a movie, only you're in control with the development of how the story unfolds. And yes, we all wish these had movie adapations especially the Mass Effect Series which I think deserves it.

just to make you aware, the music used in the 'Mass Effect 3' trailer is not part of the game or the franchise, it's a separately licensed track from a group called 'Two Steps from Hell' who have made music for countless game/movie trailers and is classed as 'Epic music' as a genre, i highly suggest checking them out if you aren't familiar with them as the music they have made and continue to make is some of the best music you will ever listen to (don't remember which ones but they did a lot of the music for the harry potter hype trailers when those movies were being released just to name one of the bigger franchises they have worked on).

He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

the first ESO cinematic has like 3 or 4 more parts, don't remember exact number that are continuation of that what you saw and are awesome!... and yeah they are not at the same team ... basically it's about 3 factions (the Aldmeri Dominiont - the elf lady, the Daggerfall Covenant- the archer/ninja guy and the Ebonheart Pact - the big viking looking dude) that fight over control of imperial city with a little twist at the end ... but i loved when the "be friends instead" instinct kicked in in in the cave ... maybe if you not been there they let you alone

Because the Mass Effect trilogy has a player created main character, the ad campaign for ME3 had adverts that swap the lead character to be male or female. The same advert you watched has an alternative version with default femshep and the box art was even reversable so you could have your preference of shepard on the front. Then when you play the game shepard can be literally any combination of sex/gender/ethnicity you like.

Only just seen this but it's worth pointing out that the first two were pre rendered movies and Horizon zero dawn was mainly in game graphics. That's really how the game looks.

The Elder Scrolls have an insane amount of lore built into the games and contained within the diegetic texts - there are actually books of lore you can read inside the game. Right there you basically had representatives of the three main alliances vying for control of one of the fortifications leading in to the central territory of the continent in which the games take place. They were fighting a mix of neutral creatures and another faction that held the fortification and ultimately they ended up facing off against each other. You also see mix of the three main styles of play in traditional RPGs, heavy melee, sneaky stabby, and magic. This will get subverted in future videos when there's a branching out to emphasize that in this game you can personalize your character.

The Mass Effect trilogy is just my favourite "media" of all times. Favourite game(s), favourite universe, favourite story-arc, favourite characters, style and I don't know what else. Just, most things! Maybe maybe apart from the gameplay, which is still really good the further into the series you get. Edit: This ME:3 trailer, though with clearly a lot on the line, was really made to hype up the action more for the finale. It was acclaimed for everything else already basically. ;D This is a game where the social aspects, religion and politics between the characters is nearly 50% of the game's content and appeal, and they make it exciting as F*#%!. And the sheer amount of choices that actually lead down different paths, outcomes etc. is unmatched in the history of gaming. Oh and the elder scrolls series (not the MMO) is kind of the best fantasy roleplaying playground there is (with 10000000000000000000000 community made add-ons/mods for it). So also good. :)

Sylens, (guy in HZD you said who you knew from something else) is played by Lance Reddick, who's been in tonnes of stuff. I know him mainly as Phillip Broyles from Fringe, but he's also been in American Horror Story as Papa Legba, among many other things. He's amazing, and Sylens will also be in the HZD sequel due this year, The Forbidden West!

Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the greatest games I’ve ever played.

In Mass Effect, you create your own Commander Shepard (main character), which means you choose what gender you play as and you make decisions. And you can choose almost anyone for a romance. In that game, choices are in your hands. Which ones would you take?

The way you looked at HZD's machines and you reaction to "ancient machines" was... interesting, but not unexpected. Believe me, as strange as it sounds and looks, it all makes sense. As some other people have said, Horizon Zero Dawn has an amazing Sci-Fi story, with tragic, but really touching layers to it. I know you probably won't play it, but if you can, watch one of the many "Movie" edits people do of the game (and many others). It seriously made me feel something I hadn't feel a while ago in gaming... and I've been gaming for at least 25 years.

Mass Effect Female Shepard is AMAZING! The voice actress ia like a real life Shepard. She is so cool. And there are trailers showing female shep :) The game covera usually show both male and female versions as well. Bioware is good about things like that.

Yes, the Elder Scrolls does have a few books you can enjoy. However I can only name two of them. "The infernal City" and "Lord of Souls"

Sorry for what I know is gonna be a long comment, but I'ma take this opportunity to gush about the Mass Effect trilogy. I love these games. The world (or universe, setting really) is dripping with atmosphere and detail. As something of a lore junky, it's amazing seeing that there's so much to learn in that setting about not only the different alien races present in the sci-fi setting, but even about humanity itself and how we interact with them. Or how they interact with each other! Plus the chemistry between your playable character - Commander Shepard, whom you can have either male or female - and your main team is top notch! Almost all the characters feel fleshed out well enough that you get more insight into their motives and feelings the more time you spend with them. And all this results in some fantastic character moments in ME3, with callbacks, jokes, and closure to a many characters' personal arcs all while dealing with the main threat depicted in the trailer here. Ugh! It's just so good! And it makes it all the more sad that the ending was so lackluster!

The Mass Effect universe is amazing!

The trailer you saw for Elder Scrolls was portraying a war between 3 factions fighting for control of the planet. It was set years before the other games and takes place on the Second Era I believe.

Mass effect has some really deep lore, some mistaken they also have books.

Horizon Zero Dawn, is one of the few really original and creative things that came up these last years. While the story of a Post Apocalyptic world where people and civilisation regressed to Medival or Bronze Age levels and Ancient tech is viewed as Sorcery is not completly new. Horizon presents a new depth to the genre, where "Ancient" tech was evolved enough that it created its how Life forms and Fauna, even tho they are machines, they have life cycles like animals and they obey a Natural Hierarchy/food chain. Wich gives for truely stunning visuals, and the environements are amazing, since its an Openworld game, there is a huge amount of details in the environements.

Horizon I have a lot of hours in. It's really really good and the the trailer isn't fixed up with cut scenes, that's how the game looks. Now with it being a PS4 exclusive....if you don't have one of those and don't game I completely understand. Elder Scrolls does have a lot of plot books too if I remember correctly. Been a while since I've been able to go to a book store lol.

I was not expecting trailer reactions from that title. While watching a complete playthrough may be a bit much to ask, there are movie cuts for all of the games. Especially Horizon Zero Dawn has a great story that explains all the seemingly worldbuilding weirdness and strange title (that put quite some people of the game at first).

Out of the 3 games that was named in the video, I've only have played Horzen Zero Dawn ( 1st part) and Horzen Zero Dawn: Frozen Wilds (2nd part), and can't wait for the next Horzen Zero Dawn 2 to come out.

I didnt see a response from anyone in regards to the Elder Scrolls Series so I figured I would drop a little Lore background. Basically the Video you're watching takes place before any of the actual other single player games in the universe. During this time Tamriel (the continent that this universe mostly takes place on) has driven out foreign invaders that had stolen the imperial throne and had been ruling over the land. Because of this a power vacuumed was created. You have The Aldmeri Dominion which consist of high elves, Bosmer Elves and Khajiit. The Ebonheart Pact Nords, argonians, dark elves. And finally there is the Daggerfall Covenant which are Orcs, Bretons and Redguards. The factions are all fighting for control over the Imperial City and thus the ruling throne of the entire continent. Simultaneous to all of this the Imperials (the race that formerly lead the empire) have their bid up as well. He worked with his own band of adventurers to reclaim the Amulet of Kings to light the Dragon fires and prove his Lineage however during the ceremony he was betrayed by his friend and confidant Manimarcco and Elf Necromancer who made a deal with a deadric lord to stop him from lighting the Dragon fires. Manimarcco technically takes the imperial throne. Now the significance of keeping him from lighting the Dragonfire is when the Dragonfire remains unlit the Veil between nirn (the mortal planet) the the Deadric planes thins so the deadra can freely invade the mortal plane, here enters Molag Bal whos forces will appear in one of the other opening cinimatics as the video you watched is one of three.

Elder scrolls online is a 3 way war for the world of tamriel the ebonheart pact. The races under the earth which are Nords (vikings with magic shouts), argonians (lizard people), and the dark elves. The altmery dominion which are the people scaling the walls which are high elves, wood elves, and kajitt (cat people). The last are the daggerfall covenant which where the guys coming from across the cliff and are the orcs, Britons (half elves), and the redgaurds (dark skinned humans). Fighting over the imperial (romanesc) homelands which where the defenders. The whole world is based on 4 ages this happens to be in the second era. Each game being a new era so we are on the sixth era in the elder scrolls 6 when it comes out.

the lady was an Alter or high elf they have usually red or blonde hair human to golden hued skin tones and blue, green and golden eyes dark hair is rarer but do exist as do darker eyes but typically they're quite gold in hue and are very tall. There are other Elves such as the Wood elves (bosmer) which have more copper tones in eyes and skin and hair and are shorter than most elves generally and the dark elves (dunmer) which have ashen grey to charcoal skin and red eyes and dark hair. of course these are typica features the altmer being the most diverse in look as all dunmer are grey skinned and red eyed just varying in shade

You should react to more Elder Scrolls, it is one of the best fantasy worlds in the history of videogames tbh and has SO MUCH lore (also can read the novels by Greg Keyes, they are phenomenal)!

There’s two books for Elder scrolls. They take place between the fourth and fifth game in series. There’s also lore books that came with the collector editions of some expansions and other promotional books. While it might be hard to get your hands on them the unofficial elder scrolls page has a very committed community and they have put some of these hard to find books online for everyone to read

There has definitely been a big shift in representation between the 90's and 2000's. Especially in Marketing. They used to be very blatantly sexist, often there was a divide between the games for girls and the games for boys. The good news is that following it, there is a very vocal and very powerful correcting force from games media and social media into making sure representation is fair. The bad news is, somewhere between 2010 and 2020 the representation machine went into overdrive and we have some strange enforcement of representation happening. The difference between the second shift and the first shift is in how often they use representation to appease. It's been on edge for a quite few years because of stong-arm tactics from both gamers and games media. This partly explains why you get defensive comments. It's a whole thing, trust me.

It won't hit the same as someone who didn't get to play the trilogy but Mass Effect did release a new reveal trailer for Mass Effect 4 that is def worth a watch.

I see that your questions have already been answered in the comments, but I’ll go ahead and just mention that I think an Aloy costume might be worth looking into. I love this series! ‎ BTW, I just finished reading Magic Required. It was a really fun novel! Hooked on these characters’ stories (though I’m a bit annoyed by one of them, so I suppose I’ll wait to see how their story fleshes out in the sequel). I just preordered Dominion Required, so I’m looking forward to reading it over the weekend!

There are movie versions of games with the majority of gameplay play removed if you want to just watch the story, but they are several hours long, though. I like to watch them after I play the game to see if I miss any story when I play.

There are 2 versions of the mass effect trailer since you can play as either female or male. You could have gotten 3 for 3 on the strong female leads

Ahh,Mass Effect...My favorite RPG franchise to this day.There's not enough space to explain the whole story and the trailers don't do justice to the games.Ashley(The women in blue armor) is just one of the few strong female characters in the game,as a matter of fact,the game has it all:The boss lady,the crazy,the over sexualized,the doctor,the A.I.,the alien and I love all of them,matter of fact,I love every single character in this game. There's something about playing games,especially if they're part of a franchise,that makes them special.The first Mass Effect was released in 2008,the 3rd in 2012. It means that we've spent at least 4 years with these characters and even tough they're fictional,we've grown to love them,care for them in the long run.I'm man enough to admit it,at the very end of the 3rd game I cried.it was a wonderful journey from the beginning to the end and I wish that someday you'll have the courage/time/determination to start playing games so you can feel the same way as we do. :)
