You guys (some of you guys) are KILLING MEEEEE. I have already watched Bastion! Tenet Review and Bastion Reaction: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gGseaM8mKfI.html
There is just like some civil war raging in Maldraxxus, nothing too complicated :D Yo keep watching these - Shadowlands just started so you are in the right spot now :D
Maldraxxus is one of four covenants that players can join when they follow Eyebrows into afterlife to save leaders she kidnapped. And Drakka is a mother of Thrall, the guy you said you know him 😊
To add onto it. Within Maldraxxus are 5 houses (2 of which have fallen "House of Eyes" being on of them). These Houses don't necessarily see eye-to-eye and often fight amongst each other. Maldraxxus is essentially the place where the souls of warriors go to in the afterlife, so it isn't inherently bad or good. It may have a few bad apples, but also good guys within it that want to maintain the balance. -source: I'm actually there right now questing through the zone ;)
@@AeipoxPlays yeah, my server has been having issues, queue is over 3 hours long and since I got dc'd just before entering Maldraxxus zone I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see it. 😂
There have been multiple Lich Kings. After the last Lich King's defeat, A paladin named Bolvar assumed the mantle of Lich King to keep the undead in check :)
@@HannaHsOverInvested Yes, essentially Bolvar as the new "Lich King" acted as a jailor of the damned (souls), as the helmet that got absolutely shredded in that one cinematic is known as the Helm of Domination, as in dominating the minds of all the undead armies. So he kept them safetly milling about away from the lands of the living, until Sylvanas came and mucked that all up.
The baby was Thrall aka Green Jesus. Thrall was once Warchief for the Horde and friend of Saurfang. Draka was his Mother and yes, they are the good guys here. Take care and stay safe my friend.
Margrave is not a name, but a title. For the rulers of the five houses of Maldraxxus. In real life, it's an English/French version of the word Markgraf, which loosly translates to "marcher count." It was also used as a hereditary title for princes of the Roman Empire. It fits Maldraxxus because, as they are undead, it has the word "grave" in it.
After Maldraxxus you now need to watch "Afterlives: Bastion" & "Afterlives: Ardenweald" They are also pretty good ^-^ As always thanks for this video and keep it up ^-^
The shadowlands is a universe of tousands of different afterlives, basically no matter of what faith or religion you are, after your death you travel into these shadowlands, where you are judged and then sent of into one of the infinite amount of afterlives you belong to. This whole universe has a system to it. There are 4 afterlives, 4 covenants that have a larger role, then just a cool vacation place for the dead people. These 4 "ruling" (for lack of better word) afterlives are: Bastion (there live the messangers, who carry the souls of the dead into the shadowlands), the Maldraxxus! (they are the "police" that ensure the run of the shadowlands), Ardenweald (that is the place where souls of the "immortal" beings go, like deities and spirits etc, basically all souls which can be reincarnated) and Revendreth that is a place for naughty bois and gals, where you have 1 last chance to attone for your sins, otherwise you are send into a place of eternal torment aka "The Maw" (the junkyard). So yeah that is basically the whole system. I hope that it makes even a sliver of sense to you ':D. So yeah Maldraxxus needs to be protected, because without it, the whole system would be broken.
Maldraxxus *was* basically the army of the Shadowlands. Their charge was to defend the realms against outside threats. There's some shady things going on in the Shadowlands due to eyebrows and her new boyfriend the jailer. The Primus (main figurehead of Maldraxxus) is missing, so the leaders of some of the houses have decided to have a bit of a coop. The House of the Chosen, where Drakka is now Baroness is still dedicated to defending the Shadowlands. I don't know if that helps, but "do we want Maldraxxus to be protected?" is a bit of a loaded question
there are 5 realms of the afterlives that we know of, one of which is the maw where the jailer is and rules, and the other 4 are covered in the afterlives shorts, one of which is maldraxxus (the one you watched)... maldraxxus is the part of the afterlife where brave warriors who lived with honor and glory are sent for eternity, and its purpose to defend the shadowlands at all costs and act as the shadowlands' army and military force... so yes, protecting it is important
In case nobody mentioned it, the "Afterlives" shorts are based on the four new zones added in the Shadowlands expansion. They can be watched in any order, and focus heavily on characters met in those zones.
@@HannaHsOverInvested Technically the order is Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth. That's the order you progress through them in game. You don't need to do that order to make sense of them, though.
SO far you have watch 2 out of 4 of the shadowlands videos. You have watch Bastion and Maldraxxus and you are missing Ardenweald and Revendreth. Good luck with your new book! :)
Often I wish I could forget my favorite books and games, just so I could experience them for the first time once again. I think that's where the pleasure of watching people delve into these worlds for the first time comes from. Thanks for these videos. Have you given the graphic novels/Manga a try? They're fairly short but have lovely art and a good variety of short stories.
@@HannaHsOverInvested The Sunwell Trilogy from 2005 is very good, the Korean artist did a great job illustrating the grimness and the moments of hopelessness in the Warcraft world. Besides the art direction it stands as more of a graphic novel in my opinion.
The four realms of the shadowlands all have a purpose that is meant to achieve kind of harmony. Balance in nature, Archiving memories, purifying souls, shedding your burdens etc. Maldraxxus is close to a grunt force strategic military that use a mixture of organic engineering and necromancy to create defenses for the shadowlands.
Margrave is a title, but a story rich title. It's the title for someone in charge of a border province or territory, and so it suggests her first boss and trainer was subordinate to the "Margrave." It also lets you know that the place is highly militarized, as it's a military title. She was moving from a shadowy way of waging war to a much more direct way of waging war, and upped her armor, but the two places in their corner of Maldraxxus both seemed dedicated to war, so that seems to fit too. (I know it's all spelled out in the lore elsewhere, I'm just having a nerdgasm over her change in armor, the difference in the lighting of the scenes, and the choice of a single word: Margrave.)
Maldraxxus is a realm within Shadowlands where all warrior souls are sent to. There, they would become part of one of 5 houses that originally ruled over the realm, protecting the entirety of the Shadowlands for eternity. However, betrayals and strife eventually caused a war between the houses of Maldraxxus, with at least two of them attacking Bastion, another realm of the Shadowlands, which goes directly against the laws of the Shadowlands.
'Margrave' isn't a name, it's a title, in feudal Europe. it was the German equivalent of the French 'marquess', ranking above a count and beneath a duke/sovereign prince in terms of authority
You know the baby xD... and Maldraxxus is were the covenant that protect the Shadowlands lives, Draka is the wife of Durotan and the mother of Thrall (Goel), you can see her in Warcraft Movie too
Honestly, I haven't got your book yet, but theres so many books tucked away in libraries and bookshops that no-one reads but are SO GOOD. Your'e so right about the marketing being the hardest part. P.S: Your comments on stuff are the best.
Maldraxxus protects the Shadowlands (Afterlife), so yes you would want to keep Maldraxxus up or else the Shadowlands falls. Which is why someone is trying to undermine them and weaken them.
Also it's kind of crucial that every realm of the dead in the Shadowlands be protected, without one of them it throws the entire order out of balance and that is the badness.
There also some cinematics that came out WITH the expansion -Remember this Lesson -Ysera Reborn -No More Lies -The Arbiter -Torghast Cinematic -The Jailer & Anduin Cutscene the last two can be a bit tricky to find specifically on RU-vid tho
I think the Shadowlands trailers can be watched in any order...what you don't get from wow is the in-game Oribos story it is what connects the afterlives storylines. Since the expansion just released you should be able to start finding the In game cinematics. It has been fun playing through it.
Right so this is the second of four shorts that Blizzard used to promote the game some weeks ago. It's not a big deal that you watched out of order, but I'd do Bastion next, then Ardenweald, then Revendreth. You'll start to get an idea of what the Afterlife of the Warcraft universe is like, and what the problem is there, and what players will have to deal with once there. When Eyebrows broke the sky, it was so she could go to the other side and cooperate with the Big Bad on the evil plot. We go to thwart her, and save some of our faction leaders that she kidnapped.
IDK if you are still reading comments on this but Maldraxxus is effectively the military strength of the Shadowlands (The afterlife) in WoW. Its not a default evil force though there are some evil forces within it, who attempted to side with the jailer and such. Politics.
Maldraxxus is a form of afterlife for warriors. Those who... peaceful afterlife would be distasteful. The five houses mentioned are five armies that specialise in different forms of warfare. The entire realm is meant to hone warrior spirits to be protectors of the afterlife. But without an enemy for too long...
Your best reaction "did you see me trying... ohh yeah, I got it right!". Glad you've watch the Story Trailer, but you've missed other cinematics: Shadowlands: Dark Abduction - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X2992bdBSYU.html Shadowlands Launch Cinematic: “Beyond the Veil” - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nrGPaVUMBl4.html Check the full list here: ru-vid.comvideos
ALL ORCS, NO MATTER WEHEN OR WERE, NO MATTER WHAT CLAN, FAMILY, NATION OR WORLD, ARE ALL BIRN FIGHTERS AND WARRIOR'S! But the difference here: she went from "front line berserker", to "rouge" or "spy".
The remaining houses in Maldraxxus also defending the whole realm of death (the shadowlands) Except of the traitors. But this is just my opinion that the traitors dont follow they codex anymore to protect the shadowlands. Its an on going story right now and everything is really unclear
You missing two other Afterlives cinematics Ardenweald and Revendreth! The voice actor for Draka is Debra Wilson. She is bald with piercings and full of tattos.
I never comment on youtube videos but I wanted to comment on yours to let you know how awesome you are!! I've been binging some of your reactions and they're amazing and I love your personality! Very fun to watch, keep it up your videos are great :).
please watch "For Teldrassil !" or the alternate title "Nathanos' Fate" !!! It's about the queen of the night elves seeking revenge for her people after Sylvanas (eyebrow) killed and burned Teldrassil (the tree and capital of the night elves).
Yes maldraxxus is the military and defensive arm of the shadowlands they protect all of shadowlands and right now in the game draka and her faction are the only one holding to their oath the other houses have either fallen or turned traitor
Hello! I found your chanel yesterday, and what a surprise in knowing that you are a writer as well! I don't play games but I love WoW and Starcraft and that's how I found you. I went to search for your titles in kindle and marked them for future reading because the conversion from dollar to my country currency makes them a little pricey for the moment. But I want to read what you wrote one day.
@@HannaHsOverInvested , I'm from Brazil . If it was 2019 for sure I'd got your books and read them all in no time. But alas it's 2021 and we have a negationist as president. I have to wait a little more but I have hopes :). Take care!
Sneezing isn’t a COVID symptom, so you’re okay… As long as no one was in the path of that sneeze… 😶 I’ve preordered your book on Kobo, by the way. Looking forward to reading it!
Found this 20-min compilation of all Shadowlands cinematics in chronological order (just posted yesterday). You've seen a few of them already, so you could skip those, but maybe the rest of the video might be useful to you? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--FIjC22HfgQ.html
If you have any online book retailers I would check them out. I live in Denmark and was really surprised that I could pre-order the book here, you might be just as lucky.
i actually subbed to audible and listen to the magic required not long ago, dont get me wrong the voice acting was wierd at least for me not offense intended for the voice actor ... but the story was actually really, really good ... definitely getting the 2nd one
@@HannaHsOverInvested actually no listened to several ... but i hope i did not offended you or him its just something about his voice :) but did like it a lot
My "smart" moment of the week: being confused by your initials until I remembered the name Hannah is literally in your YT name XD (in my defence I'm a relatively new subscriber lol)
🤣🤣yeah I publishes HS so that if somebody sees my book in a bookstore they don't know what's written by a woman. It worked for SE Hinton and JK Rowling, so I figure, give it a shot. When I tell people that, they like to think that the world isn't so sexist, but if you have an early edition of The Hunger Games it will say S Collins, and one time at a book signing a woman asked me if my novel was okay for boys 😳🙄🤦🏽♀️
@@HannaHsOverInvested What a charmer she was (not). Why would that make any difference? One of my favourite series (that I'm in the middle of re-reading) is by a Canadian lady and I loved so much it helped inspire one of my stories. Who knows, one day people who aren't my family might one day get to read it. I'm certainly gonna pick up your stuff when I get the chance (don't worry, this isn't some weird attempt at trying to get you to read mine, I'm well aware that'd be unprofessional as hell lol)
@@HannaHsOverInvested If you mean what I'm reading now (apologies if I'm getting confused as hell lol), Knife by RJ Anderson. A uni professor recommended I read it to help with my own writing and that got me hooked on the series
Please react to Arthas did nothing wrong. it covers alot of the basic /start story of Warcraft. Pluss makes things easier to understand in regards to how things are now in the story '
I still think you should definitely react to Starcraft 2, it's made by the same studio who created World of Warcraft (Blizzard Entertainment). And it features one of the best female anti hero/ redeemed villian in video game history imo: Sarah Kerrigan. Her story is both tragic and badass (even though I gotta admit there are some cheesy moments xD). I recommend this video (Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bZ18Ms5FOCE.html), it's got all the cinematics of all 3 expansions, it's 2 hours long, but worth it !❤️
@@HannaHsOverInvested If the 2 hour long video's a little too daunting, you might wanna watch the opening cinematics of the 3 expansions first. I swear I have already! People keep saying this to me... That's the one about the guy and he can't become the thing cause he's too pissed so he does the other thing with the lady instead... RIGHT!?!
Hannah, im new here and love your reactions. I see youve become some league of legends but could you watch the "tales of runeterra" be glad if you do. Awesome work btw, an let be friends XD
Haha there is an audiobook!! The second one hasn't been through quality control yet so I don't know of it will be available on Thursday. But the first one has one and it is out. AND the narrator is BOMB!!
I hope this doesn't come off wrong, but I don't think it helps your publicity for your books when you then show a lack of care for the linearity of a story and pop videos at random lol
