13:18 yes the anime is split into 6 different parts currently. Dio and Johnathan is part 1 and when he came back was part 3

@@ari_skies2 As you watched, it’s a rivality between Dio and Joestar family. In Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) it gets really personal because they both develop Stands (in short Power from their Soul) and JoJo’s Mother gets it too but she is too weak to withstand it and the only thing they can do is to lift up a curse by killing DIO. In meantime DIO is already planning to get power from the heaven and reaching it, but as you saw he was killed and the only one who read notes how to reach the heaven is JOJO from part 3 AKA Jotaro. So now In part 6 there is his follower Pucci whose Stand is that he can get a disc from Jotaro Soul to read his memory and get this information how to get into the heaven and so on. That’s pretty much the main plot but there is so much more and even better interesting stuff in this anime. This was only recap from part 1,3,6 so everything in between is also so good. I recommend watching openings if you want get into it. Maybe it will hype you up :)

Heaven is not overpowering reality, from his explanation of part 6 he's trying to attain heaven, heaven in his mind is happiness which is a world where everyone can see and accept their own fates which is what Pucci also tried accomplishing

Dio started the hate with Johnathan and Johnathan ended up dieing, Skip part 2 because i aint trying to spoil. Dio got a stand and because he had Johnathan's body. Every member of the Joestar bloodline got a stand including Johnathan's body

Yall jojo fans really like to diss part one but compared to most animes, it's actually not bad. It's just that the other parts are so good that in comparison it's not as fun but it's still a great introduction into the core of Jojo's.

The fandom likes him because he is the Top Tier villain in the entire jojo, he is the reason the Joestar bloodline is always in fights. Without Dio JoJo's isn't a Bizarre Adventure
