not sure if you know, Ed Sheeran sent this song to BTS, they love it & found it fit their image. It's a song that cheered ARMY/people up during pandemics, and the MV delivered the message so well. The chorus included sign language which is another heartwarming thing. Many BTS songs can bring out my emotions, and it's amazing how it's not just sad/angry but always the message of courage, hope & self-love. I honestly can't remember at what point I fell in love with BTS, I think it's a gradual process of listening to songs, finding out the deeper meanings, knowing the individual personality etc.

I am a 54 year old from the US who grew up with 70s folk songs, melting into ABBA & Neil Diamond, finding my teen preferences in the hard rock, heavy metal/hair metal and pretty much staying in that realm with a little bit of 90's "angst" and the occasional pop/country...if you would have told me that in 2018 I would see BTS perform on Good Morning America & dive down a rabbit hole of amazing music primarily in a language I do not understand, I would have laughed in your face. These boys saved me when I hadn't even yet realized I needed saving. They say BTS finds you when you need them most & I 100% believe that to be true in my case. Enjoy your journey & healing!

Obviously I'm OT7, but as a Jimin bias I've loved watching you slowly realize your love for his voice! With that and the fact that the first member (our Jin!!) is almost back from the military, I recommend you do Closer Than This by Jimin! He released it shortly after enlisting and it's a love song to ARMY. Both the lyrics and video have such special meaning and I adore that song!

I’m with you dude, I’m a 46yr old wife and mother and I am a new addition to the ARMY. I love these guys. I only discovered them a few months ago and I can’t get enough of them. My Bias, I’m not sure if I have only 1, but I love JHope’s voice. I love them all but he makes me smile whenever I hear him sing.

This song came on the radio so much my 11 month old daughter at the time would go MAD for it, dancing, singing, screaming! So I looked up who sang it to play it for her more and never looked back😅 love them so much 😂❤

Jimin voice is so angelic you will never find the tone of his voice in the whole industry it's not just about his hight note but his voice is so unique full of emotions he hit you deep That's my reaction everytime I heard him singing

BTS's music already made me connect with them emotionally but I think what REALLY did it for me was watching/reading about BTS's journey. It gives sooo much context to their songs and messages, and learning about their personal experiences... it just cuts so much deeper. BTS is definitely special in regards to getting deep and personal with ARMY right from the beginning of their career (they did personal vlogs back then) and going against the grain when no other idols dare to. It made me feel connected to them and value their music even more; I don't think there is another artist out there that has helped me grow and learn as a person as much as these boys have.

Your video make me cry because BTS has such a special place in my heart and all army’s hearts. The way they can just physically bring you joy like that, how seeing them just brings a visceral reaction of happiness is what they are all about. It’s not something you can explain until you experience it, and I love seeing other people experience it. It makes me so happy. Permission to Dance probably isn’t the most popular song but it’s so special because they put it out just to make us smile during the pandemic when it was hard to be happy sometimes. I love it so much. Also, as a Jimin bias..welcome. You are trapped now there is no escaping Jimin. My happy go-to song is boy with love… that is how Jimin captured my heart… the video starts with Jimin in pink pants ❤❤ and I’ve never been the same… that was my first BTS song in 2019

The ending is actually them signing. The thumbs up moving across the chest is “enjoy” in KSL (Korean sign language) and the other one of index and middle finger pointed down and wriggling side by side above an open palm is “dance” in ASL (American sign language). Fun fact- V knows KSL 💜💜

This song brought me into the army!! A happy song full of hope for better days. Like, “I hope everything gets better soon.” We are prohibited from so many things, in these times of pandemic (Covid19), but we don't need permission to dance! The choreography is easy and captivating. They used international sign language at the end of the choreography (nana nana nanan): - Happy - Dance - Peace. BTS made a point of showing some professions and groups that were directly affected by the pandemic in the Permission To Dance MV. The ending dancing with the production team is really cool and shows a real characteristic they have: they are kind and humble towards everyone. Beautiful!!! 💜💜💜

I’d be here all day talking about how much they mean to me. During the worst times of my life, over the past few years, they’ve been my comfort. I love seeing new Army get excited and emotional because it reminds me of when I first met them.😊

It’s such a kind song. The MV is so inclusive showing those deeply affected by pandemic and lockdowns: children, elderly, disabled, service workers, teachers etc. They use sign language in the choreography for the chorus which caused some deaf folks such excitement to be included in dancing. It’s not a deep song but it’s a comfort we needed when it came out. Positive without being too cheesy. I adore his little song and it’s message.

BTS do that to everyone. They help the tears flow. Cathartic!

These mega-galactic artists are so special and the more you get to know them, the more you connect. They are all Army's happy place, and I'm also crying because I miss them so much.

I can relate. They helped me overcome a really period of hardships in my life by just watching them have fun at Run BTS. They made me laugh, and surpass that period. 💜💜💜

They pulled me in when I heard my first song Black Swan. I’d ha 4 strokes over 2 years and was in a VERY dark place. I discovered RM’s friend from GOT7, Jackson Wang, he held me up just enough and then those wonderful 7 men pulled me out of the abyss and lead me to the light. This 60 yr old grandma loves them all so much💜

I love this song. I get emotional because so many things occurred in this period. And the song gives hope and cheer us. 💜💜

BTS has a number of songs that are specifically for ARMY, meant to comfort us and give us strength when we are struggling. This one is less for ARMY and more for people in general. They released it towards the end of the pandemic. My two favorite comfort songs that they made for us are Magic Shop, especially the live version with ARMY, and Zero O'Clock. I don't know if you've seen them but BTS has some mini BTS characters called Tiny Tan. They first appeared in a video called Magic Door, which has the song Mic Drop. Some of the Tiny Tan characters can be difficult to recognize, but their hair and clothes are the same as they were for the Mic Drop video. The second Tiny Tan video is kind of a sequel to the first one and it's an MV for Zero O'Clock. We get adorable and comfort, two for the price of one, in that video. And, again Mic Drop outfits. I highly recommend both videos. Oh, and in case you haven't heard, BTS' anniversary is coming up and JK is dropping another new song for us. It's called Never Let Go. It drops on Friday.

Out of their 3 English songs, this one is my favorite! The lyrics is sooo encouraging, the steps are easy to follow, and the whole song is so catchy!!!💜 2!3! Was my OG comfort song then there came Life Goes On, now it's both my favorite 💜

Did you notice them doing sign language? They are so inclusive. The video that makes me laugh and think is Bapsae dance practice. It's the dance practice that makes me smile. ❤❤❤❤😂

This song takes us directly to the post-pandemic period, when we could finally take off our masks and hug our loved ones, our friends, again. The whole pandemic situation was extremely difficult for everyone, especially for those who really took care of themselves and made sure everything passed quickly, this MV brings me immense joy, we don't need permission to be happy (we don't need permission to dance, to go out , to kiss, to hug, to socialize), and it really moves me to think about those who couldn't get through this sad phase and perished, they could no longer hug their loves, their friends or even be hugged by them. The pandemic was a war, and we are survivors, I hope that the vast majority who managed to survive, can see the great blessing they received and start to be more empathetic, better, hate less and love more... being happy is what interests and make others happy too 💖💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I love their live performance of this at the UN. Check that out! And Jin does this incredible scale run during this song that not enough people acknowledge! It’s amazing. I fell in love with them and their message when I saw they added in sign language to be inclusive. V sometimes would add sign in his V lives with Army. Another song that always makes me happy is Mikrokosmos. we are all stars and shine, but together, we make up a universe! any performance of it live is amazing! Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. But this song and their RU-vid behind the scenes content put a smile on my face during Covid and my post partum blues. this is a really joyful song to listen to i didnt fully appreciate it back when it first came out, it was just a nice bop back then, but when i was having a hard time, this is one of the bts songs that cheer me back up and i'm glad you've heard it as well

i was just randomly listening to their songs one day. it was when i had just started to know thier discography, so i stumbled upon answer: Love myself. and I just randomly looked up the lyrics for it while listening to the song.. and Ohh man the way i started weeping.. it was a year after covid hit and i was struggling with my mental health and psychosomatic problems and i had plans of ending it all.. listening to them really helped me gain strength and the will to live on. I'll forever be grateful to them

I love this song so much. They sang it when the pandemic was slowing down. The fact that it has sign language is even better to me. Also, Hannibal and Minji from New Jeans are the school girls in the video.

There is a video out there of deaf children watching this video and seeing the sign language for “happy”, “dance”, and “peace” in the choreography. Their faces lit up and they were so happy watching the video ~ they even got up to join in the choreography! It was so heartwarming to watch. Whoever put together the choreo is a genius to incorporate sign language into this video. 💜BTS Forever! 💜

JIMIN - SERENDIPITY is my go-to pickup. It never fails to ease all the stress and anxiety and get me going again. His voice is so packed with love and kindness in that song that you feel like a little cherished treasure.
