these werent the top 10 most popular at the time they came out, its just the ones that have the most views now. Bts videos are the most viewed now because people went back and streamed their old stuff after they blew up

Same. The compilation isn't legit because it counts the accumulated views instead of the actual views in the year the music video came out. Of course BTS videos would be in the top due to their recent massive surge in popularity.

@@mosaycomusic these videos shows the total views and dont represent the exact views each video got in their year of release... but would it be anymore fair to make a list of the actual most viewed songs each year when some songs come out in feb. and some come out in oct. realistically their is no ideal type of list...also saying bts fans are the ones who make these videos (that actually just test songs in longevity) in order to purposely spread wrong information is a bit reaching...

EXO has worked in different subunits and solos since the debut: Exo-K and EXO-m are the two original subunits of exo, when they were separated in 2 subunits of 6 members to promote (Exo-K) in Korea and (EXO-m) in china. Exo-sc is the subunit of the rappers Sehun and Chanyeol. Exo cbx is a subunit created by Baekhyun, Chen and xiumin.

Weird, this must have come out in like March. Maniac has over 100mil and Venom has 30mil for Stray Kids. So basically 2022 is subject to change, lol. BtoB is mostly known for ballads, but they've been around for a long time. They're all finally back from the military. . I'm not a ballad person, so as much as I like the members, it doesn't do much for me. Their 2021 song Outsider is a bop though

NCT is a big group!!! There are 23 members and they have 4 sub-units! NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV (Chinese sub-unit) and NCT U where they can choose any members that fits the concept!

you always talk as if bts only made rap/hip hop music in the past, but they still very much do it also in recent years...the last time the 3 bts rappers had a rapline song together was 2020 (the song- ugh!) but first, for a full group song i highly recommend you check out "run bts" a song off their latest album. its a rock and rap infused track. but you should also really check out some of their rap, both older and newer, both rapline and solo (and btw jhopes album that just came out like a month ago "jack in the box" its full of old school hip hop 808s)

You keep mentioning how certain groups did well in specific years, but that's not really true. These numbers are from when the video was made, not when it was released that year. So they are all accumulated. Having a bunch of views now doesn't mean it was super popular back then (mostly bts in this case). And there are hundreds of groups in Kpop. When you keep watching these "top _" types of videos of course you're only gonna see like the same 10 groups over and over lol

Hip-hop has been popular in Korea since the 90s, actually. A lot of gen 1 kpop groups had hip-hop influence in a lot of their tracks too. Shows like Show Me The Money and Unpretty Rapstar pushed hip-hop and rap more into the public eye in the last decade though.

I see that you were very interested in nct hahaha, I'm not going to deny it, it's really that their songs are very unusual, their combinations are incredible, you should react many nct songs are great songs, so you understand the nct system has 23 members (can be increased) that are distributed among 4 sub units -NCT U (the rotating sub unit, in which any member can be) -NCT 127 (the sub unit that contains 10 members (1 inactive, since he is in another sub unit, so they promote with 9 members, they debuted in 2016) -NCT DREAM (is the sub unit of the youngest (1999-2002) their songs are more chills in exchange for those of 127 that are more experimental) -WAYV (it is the sub unit of nct in which those of Chinese nationality are, they debuted in 2019) -As a last point there are two members of nct who have not yet been in any fixed sub unit of nct who are Sungchan and Shotaro who just joined nct in 2020 in nct u with the songs Make a Wish (song in which Shotaro debuted ) and 90's love (Sungchan's debut song). GOT7 and WINNER were the real monster rookies back in 2014. They were trainee and debut around the same time. GOT7 is more popular in international, while WINNER is more loved by general public in South Korea which is pretty rare of them to like kpop group songs Hope you check them out more! Thanks

The songs from 2022 are mostly smaller groups that usually dont make it into the top 10 - probably since the video was made before many big groups dropped songs. Its pronounced We-i (they are a really small group, but I personally love them so much) Omega X is one of my favorite groups from recent years - definitely check out their songs like Omega X, Icetag, Whats going on... Tempest only debuted this year I believe - with Bed News (I might be wrong through) Victon is also a small group, Chronograph might be my least favorite title track, but I want you to react to their rapper's solo song called Take Over, because its so interisting (and because Do Han Se is a freaking genius) Mirae just debuted last year and they are rocking it. Definitely rookies to look out for BToB had a bit of a pause due to military enlistment, and they also do a lot of ballads, which isnt really the taste of the general public, so its expected to not see them up there as often - after all, its not about talent, its about popularity. All groups have mad talent Pentagon is once again a bit of a smaller group, although more well known than the other ones. They had a major hit with their song Shine, but other than that, they sadly arent that popular. A shame, because they have some of my favorite songs (Daisy will forever be iconic) ANd Enhypen, Stray Kids and Treasure are all big and in the top 10 4th gen boy groups. Not surprised to see them, but Im sure the list has changes by now

Block B has a lot of weird music videos and I love them for it. Check out Very Good, Nilili Mambo, Shall We Dance NaliA, Jackpot and Her And maybe the subunit BASTARZ with songs like Zero For Conduct and Make It Rain One very popular soloist, Zico, used to be part of the group, he has amazing songs as well

It was Big Bang that made rap and hip hop more popular in Korea though. This list is misleading though. BTS fans go back and stream the heck of their old MVs pushing their numbers. Back then it was Big Bang dominating the numbers. People forgot about BB and these numbers are the latest numbers, not the numbers which are top 10 back in its year.

Rap has been popular in idol songs since idol boygroups started in Korea. BTS aren't that unique with the regard. Practically every boy group has a designated rapper.

Block b has crazy MVs and also ballads. They are in a hiatus due to military service; with the last member serving now. Beast is amazing, great vocals. They changed their name to Highlight. 2PM is another great group. GOT7 debuted in 2014. NCT127 kick it is more about Bruce lee, who inspired Kill bill.

Not different, Exo_K work in Korea, and another 6 member is Exo- M working in China. Together we have EXO, but right now has one 8 members and mainly work in Korea. BTS followed HIP HOP concept, the one rap is main thing. U can say if groups come from small company, this is mostly cannot be famous or as known in KPOP map, BTS is exception.

"Rap came in because of BTS." Dude you need to do more research, BIGBANG were the ones that made it mainstream in KPOP. Rappers in idol groups were literally looked down upon by underground rappers as they were "trained". T.O.P & GD was the one that slowly changed those perspective & put respect to rappers in groups now.

@@ParallaxHearts I’ve never said BIGBANG was more popular outside of Korea than BTS because that would be delusional. But BIGBANG were the ones that were really synonymous with Hip Hop. Go & watch their debut track & sound. Mind you T.O.P was the first underground rapper to make it as an idol. Ask Career Musicians” lol how about you ask the general public in South Korea. The fact you used JHope as an example instead of RM already shows me how clueless you are when RM was the underground rapper along with Suga 😂😂 BTS’s songs which made it worldwide aren’t even Hip Hop based so again clueless. Idk which career musicians you’ve been with but they should be looking at another career at this point.

To say that in EXO someone is better and someone is worse is simply IMPOSSIBLE because absolutely every participant is unrealistically talented, this is literally an IDEAL GROUP. Every EXO group and solo album is on a completely different level to this day, even after 10 years of career. I am absolutely not afraid to say that EXO is a real K-POP, now there are countless groups in the fourth generation, but they absolutely do not stand out in any way, trying to focus more and more on the West and POP music, thereby becoming monotonous and disposable. EXO is the only band in the entire K-POP industry, by the way, to this day where literally every member sings amazingly, including rappers and dancers. Minute popularity does not determine the talent and legendarity of the artist, because even after 10 years of his career, EXO songs are literally sung by the whole of Asia, because EXO is the real K-POP. I will never stop admiring this amazing band, even if 40 years pass, let a billion more bands like bts be released, they will never surpass EXO because their music is timeless, this is what defines the legendary artist.

It doesn't matter how many more years pass, EXO were, are and will be Kings of K-POP, Kings of Vocals, Legends and Discoverers of the 3rd generation. EXO, even after 10 years of career, are the most popular, sought-after and highly paid SM group. Yes, because they are their best band in the history of the company. EXO is a diamond not only of SM but of the entire K-POP industry. I sincerely apologize, but the visual effects of EXO are too powerful, as soon as they appear on the stage, they capture you with their dazzle, not letting you go until the very end. It's been a whole 10 years, but they simply have no equal in live performances.
