I love your curiosity to check this out--I would never do this! But enjoyed it very much. Thanks for taking one for the team with getting frizzy hair! Rain is common here but thunder is rare so loved the sound :)

Quick hop over to Wikipedia: ~80% calcium carbonate, 18% HDPE (a plastic), and 2% other. It is neither biodegradable nor composable, and not recyclable without specialized facilities. Over virgin paper (for graphics printing), it does seem to have some environmental benefits (at least if you just look at CO2 and water consumption), however when you include recycled paper those benefits seem to evaporate. It also doesn't seem to hold up to light long term, degrading under UVa (sunlight).

supposedly Stone paper is really good if you have a scratchy nib and you want to smoothe it out a little by running it back and forth on the page smoothes it right out I hear if you have that experiance let me know so I can run right out and buy some :)
