I had a complete new roof put on my house, the company that carried out the work gave me a quote, did the work and asked me to inspect from the scaffold. The job was excellent and I am very happy with the result. I was then asked to pay the quoted price which I did. No up front cost just pay on completion. These two are a disgrace to humanity, the contractor has done a job for them he deserves full payment!
The woman was vile but that grinning pillock in the background deserved to have that smile wiped off his face, people that knock tradesmen for no genuine reason are the lowest of the low.

The car will be on finance, they won't pay a penny in rent, they'll have concessions on all their utility bills - and when they refuse to pay them, the power and water won't be cut off, as they'll play the "my kids have ADHD" card - she won't work a damn day in her life, and probably neither will he. The more us taxpayer's get rinsed, the more scum like this seem to thrive.
It’s a good idea to demonstrate a process of negotiation. He clearly gave them an opportunity to come to a payment arrangement and was careful to avoid damaging their car!
Assuming he's a licensed contractor and did in fact write out a contract for that job, he should have just put a lean on his property, if he doesn't pay it they could start the for-closure process, but the homeowner would be insane to have their house sold out from under them for a 1,400 quid debt. Leans are also public so it would be tough for him to find a new place to live with that on his record.
@@nolanmythbuster we dont have property leans here in the uk. It goes to civil court then if the judge finds in favour of the waste carrier he can then apply for a high court writ who then comes with full access to their home and removes goods or gets payment but they dont leave until its resolved..

Irishman here, absolutely love that English "shut up" accent. They could always have taken that bike on their porch to work after you rightly blocked their car with said unpaid rubbish. Great work 😂👍🏻
Priceless. My kind of guy, there are many people like this, the reason she is ranting is because she knows you are right. Just returning your property as you failed to pay the removal fee, if you had kept it she would probably have called the police saying you stole her custom made one off designer rockery boulders that were place in a specific order that can't be replicated. Civil dispute, no police and a husband who only has the strength for holding a mobile and recording you. They are most likely maxed out on credit and don't have any money, even though you were willing and good enough to offer a payment plan. Kudos.
12 years I’ve been self employed and thankfully these kind of customers come round very rarely but unfortunately they are out there, it’s amazing how they can be a pleasant person when they want the job doing but when it comes to getting paid you see their true self
@@keithpringle3940 at the end of the day mate if someone’s contracted me to do a job for them and I’ve done the job exactly the way they want it, for them to then turn round and stop me from putting food on my kids table, then yes. I would smash them to bits.

I completely agree with what you're doing! There's people in this world who absolutely take the piss with small businesses and traders...on completion of the job they come up with all sorts of shit to get out of paying for the work when that family of the small business is relying on getting paid at the end of the job and puts them into dire straits. It's utterly unacceptable and deceitful that these people do and try to get away with this behaviour. I'd have dumped it on the car mate lol.
