NON PERSONA FAN REACTS TO NEW PERSONA 3 RELOAD OST!!!

To a some extent I do think nostalgia is a big factor for some songs like mass destruction and moons reaching because if you played the new versions to someone who doesn’t know persona music like I did for my parents and a lot of my family many of them loved the new version and when I showed them the old one which they also liked they didn’t consider the new one bad because of the old one. Since the original exists it’s hard to deject the love and bias for the original since they were so good and had a certain feeling to them. The songs overall though seem to be going for different vibes then the original and it makes sense since this is not the same 1:1 game that was made 17 years ago and Yumi’s voice is sadly worse off now since she’s a heavy smoker and like 60+ and she’s probably gonna retire soon.

I can't understand people complaining about the eletronic sounds, they aren't annoying, they don't stifle Lotus Juice's beautiful voice, they were already in the original song but lower, most likely because of 2006 audio quality, and in persona live concerts they were already much louder and people love the live versions of mass destruction, the fact that they are researching and taking inspiration from the different arrangements of the songs (and by the way, the new version of when the moon's reaching out stars is inspired by the reincarnation remix, and i like it) shows that the team is putting a lot of effort into this, they are taking inspiration from the Persona 3 movies, Persona 4 Arena, the portable content, and that makes me believe that this game will be pure perfection, you can see the love they have for Persona 3

Good video! My first experience with Persona 3 was playing P3P on my PSP years ago, so I do have a lot of nostalgia for old versions of the songs. However, I like the new renditions as much, sometimes even more (like Changing Seasons) than the originals. Honestly, it was surprising to see how many people dislike new versions. Glad to see that I'm not insane and nostalgia can actually cloud one's judgment. Hope that actually playing remake with the new versions will improve fanbase's opinion of them.

Personally, as someone who first played the P3P when it came out in January, (My God time flies)...I think I might slightly prefer all the reload songs. Not because the originals are bad, far from it! It's just that I got so used to hearing the originals, that hearing slightly more modern interpretations feels so much cooler to me...With that said, there's a few that are a bit worse, or WAY better to me. Worse ones: When the Moon's Reaching Out Stars -Reload-. Still really good, but this is a case where Yumi's singing just feels more right to me. Master of Shadow -Reload-: It's on par with the original to me, but I never cared that much for the OG Master of Shadow in the first place. Every other song is either on par to me, (Or maybe prefer it jst a little), but then for the one's I VASTLY prefer: Master of Tartarus -Reload-, Guitar goes hard Deep Breath Deep Breath - Reload-, the new lyrics and Druks just add more life to it Changing Seasons -Reload-, not sure I need to day much there And finally, BMD Last Battle -Reload-. The original is one of my favorite tracks from the OST, and this is another case of the new lyrics making it feel cooler to me ...Also, will say this: I think Mass Destruction - Reload- is slightly better PERSONALLY. I know I sound like I'm trying to be different, but I actually kinda like the different notes from Azumi. It makes it feel more distinct to me, and the new lyrics and instrumentals do that too...That said, it can't top the version of MD at the Persona 2013 concert. That will always be the best version to me.

I mean my only problem with mass destruction is how Baby is pronounced like the whole word is said instead of how in the original it’s said I THINK with a softer ending to fit the groove of the song, but other then that it’s just as good

Remake Mass Destruction and other remakes of songs will almost always sound better to new ears.

The realod versions sounds like one of those youtube cover singers. Not that they are bad, but I very much like the slight Engrish in persona songs. Burn my Bread won't have half the effect now.

I like most of the remake songs, except moon's reaching out stars, it feels kinda hollow if that makes sense

i like both , some more than the other. but that's the beauty of having multiple versions. now some people on the other hand try to act like new songs existing is the complete erasure of the original tracks and its something unforgivable which is not true. because the original game will always exist and people will mod original music into Reload eventually. (and Reload music into original game) i'm just happy the Persona Band and Lotus Juice had the opportunity to provide more bangers

I think the problem in the remix versions of some of the tracks is the mixing itself. Some sounds don't pan the way they used to and take up too much attention in the mix. Some songs are hard to hear Azumi in as well.

Adding lyrics to changing seasons is gonna get annoying overtime, especially because it isn't very long and loops often, also you spend so much time in the hub world so you're gonna hear it a lot. Its like adding lyrics to the tartarus theme, even tho the original song is supposed to be atmospheric to build tension as you explore the unknown labyrinth. I feel like they're just changing things for the sake of it now to make it different from the original
