I loved having your wife’s feedback! Also, this looks great and I really appreciate your suggestion of how to get the pepper flavor without overwhelming the dish with fire. This recipe definitely goes on my list to try.

One of the best items I've added to my kitchen is an electric kettle! Having boiling water so quickly to add to pans is amazing!!

I'm really excited about this actually because it's so different than other Indian cuisine. I've tried to make. Everything I've ever made is tomato base so this is very exciting to me! Also, I will always continue to watch your videos, I found you years ago while looking for keto recipes and I stick around because I can tell you thoroughly. it is very easy! Trust me I was also overwhelmed by Maharashtrian food initially but this was a great first step kind of recipe.

Dipti may drag you but I'm super excited to make this for my VERY particular son. He won't eat mutton, and he is averse to spicy foods. This looks like a perfect compromise!

Dipti 100 - 0 Sahil Being a Marathi by birth & my father being from the Kolhapur region, I agree 100% with Dipti. Growing up पांढरा रस्सा was for the kids (ardha limbu) who did not eat spicy food. This recipe is a quick dash on creating the classic dish.

Pureeing the coconut and cashews looked great. I will have to try this. I would love to see you make a paneer with some meat. I have just had it with spinach but some meat with it would be great, but I need to see how you make paneer. Great video.

Starting with cashews was a nice surprise. Wasn't expecting that, though I didn't really know what to expect. Aside from cauliflower, I don't eat much white food. I'm all for taking baby steps into new cuisines. When it comes to chicken meat I prefer the...uh...nugget. 🙄. A blank canvas for all kinds of sauces.

Great attempt !!! And good the see the super fan banter between Deepti and you Sahil ! However , being an passionate kolhapuri food lover, i would definitely agree with you that Pandhara Rassa is and should be made only with mutton for the magic to come through, for the satisfaction it affords to be savoured truly ! Also it’s slightly more oily ! Having said that , we need more such local content to come up and yeah , loved to see you do this ! Hope to see you soon at a Meat - up !

Dude i loved the chemistry between you both. I am a Big fan of pandhara rassa. So we make pandhara rassa(mutton) atleast once a month and i love to have it with rice in soupy rice form. Can you please try kori roti which is a Mangalorean dish?

Well like she said this only covers the Kolhapuri food of Maharashtra, there are other sub sections of food like the coastal regions of the state vs the interiors. Like I said somewhere before I can spend the rest of my life doing this series and I still won't cover everything in this country.

yes, like I said I will be doing 2 dishes from each state. So I will definitely be covering the North East as well. I definitely wanna make the black sesame pork, ghalo and many other dishes.
