You Must’ve went at the best month! It’s Dec 2023, and I haven’t had any luck nor have I heard of anyone getting into such a school like you did! Any tips for WHEN to go (it’s Dec 12 2023)
Usually December is quite good for squid, but the heavy rain is pouring fresh water into the puget sound, which changes the salinity of sea water, squid doesn't like that. If the rain stop for a few days, it will be good.
Hi Bashi. I think I bought a too light fishing rod. It is a 7’6”Ultralight medium action trout rod. But it’s rated for only 2-6 lb. line. and 1/32 to 3/8 oz lures. So when I rig up 1/2oz plus other jigs, it always feels heavy. 😢 i bought it at outdoor Emporium in Seattle. But I don’t think I return it since I’ve already used it. Any suggestion are very much appreciated! Thx Art

I am from Portland, I am thinking to go to Seattle for squid fishing. We usually launch our boat from Alkia Beach boat ramp to other side of Elliot bay near pier 62 and pier 55. Do the squid come to Elliot bay this time? Thanks for your video ❤

@@BashiWAFishing Agreed, I have only done for the last several years. Seems it's this way. A lot like salmon. You never really know when they might show.
@BashiWAFishing Oh, the reason I asked was because we were fishing at Edmonds fishing pier the same day. Fished to about 10:15 pm and nobody was catching anything. Maybe some arrived later or Seattle location was a better choice? Thanks..
