Heating's cheating! 😂😂😂 Good to see you out at Loch Lomond again. The weather looked almost as bad as the time we camped there. Nothing beats the one where you woke up with your tent in the water though! That was legendary!
Am getting old mate 😂. Mate it was 100% wetter, but definitely not anywhere near as windy. And plenty of time for me to end up in some calamity situation 😂
Bugger sleeping under a tarp in that weather especially if you can get a tent. I think you had the better option Monty. Go careful with the heater if in doubt don't use it better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully they get it sorted. Look forward to the next one 👍🏻🍻
I've only bivvied in the rain once but it was whilst I slept and it was nice. In that weather? No chance 😂. Got myself a carbon monoxide detector so all good hopefully
The audio wasn't too bad, I just loved the sound of the rain, I've had an ongoing chest infection and am on steroids and antibiotics, so it was amazing being snuggled up in bed, listening to it. but not actually having to be out in the rain haha. Really glad you're continuing to give safety advice about the fire, yes they can make a huge difference, but being safe is very important. Will be interested to see if the company gets back to you about the lack of full closure on the gas tap, I'd be a bit concerned about that too. Looking forward to the next one, we've had some very cold weather in the last week, so hoping you'll have taken one for team and got us a good snow/ice vid haha.
Awww I hope you're ok. Gaz has covid so a little worried there. I had it and it was terrifying. Never had a chest infection so can only imagine and hope for a speedy recovery. But yeah that was a lot of rain lol. The company has not responded to my emails at all. I wasn't out at the weekend as I was having panic attacks but hopefully a snow camp this weekend 🙂
Bit damp Monty! 😂🤣 I grew up in a house with no heating apart from one gas fire in the living room. In winter the bedroom windows got so cold we had ice on the inside 🥶 Then my Mom & Dad bought a Camping Gaz heater, like the one you have there but much bigger, fitted onto the big camping gaz bottles, it was a complete game changer, unbelievably warm. We’d warm mine & my sister’s room dive into bed and my brothers would take it into their room, Mom & Dad had last dibs 😂😂
One thing I'll never be ashamed of is being poor/working class 😁 but was there not a concern of CO2 build up or was your home pretty well ventilated? There was a separate review of my heater on RU-vid and he just left it in the tent, fully closed for several hours. No CO2 build up at all.
@@MontyOutdoors You’re right, working class is me! Everything was fine. It was an older house in the country, it’s wasn’t particularly sealed. Personally I wouldn’t use it in a small room or a caravan but I think the way you’re using it looks ok, you have ventilation. I think you would have felt the effects by now, tired etc. besides with the wind & weather on your last few camps, any build up would soon be blown away. 😁
I could cope with a passing front, but constant,it's just not enjoyable. I've only just put my hot tent away from a couple days ago,was drying in the garage. I try pick decent days but doesn't always pan out.
@@brianmercer2805 Aye mate there is nothing worse than going into your tent with wet gear knowing the wet gear ain't going to dry. I was hoping to do the hot tent camping this year, but money is awful. Hopefully next year and I plan to convert my OEX Coyote into one.
Maybe you can show us the heater/bottle interface issues better - and in slow time - on a future livestream, then we can do an autopsy and crowd-think it through. Same with the Rhode mics - dampness, wet dead cat, etc etc? Kind regards.
It's frustrating that you can't fully tighten it, but there is no leaking. The Rodes have also been replaced with an upgraded model that'll be on show this weekend and I'm doing a live stream this Friday 😁
@MontyOutdoors I went out to stonehenge the Other Day for a quickie..that was pretty abysmal..only took a tarp and a chair...🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭..but had my gas heater.. people walking past, were staring "at that weird guy over there" . 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MontyOutdoors yea there is, but most of wild camping areas are at the south of the country, check “torres del Paine”trekking/camping that is the most known :)
The audio of those body mics sounds like a muffled bag of tossed throats . I much prefer awful wind and normal background noise .. get yourself a h4n monty . Much more human .
I was wet, miserable and I think the falling rain interacted with my audio. I'm all for a passing front but this was brutal lol. I'd rather still be doing this than sitting in the house being depressed.
