If you are trying to keep chemical out of your home and still get your home clean you may want to try using hypochlorous acid in your carpet shampooer / carpet cleaner. If you have seen some of my previous videos (I'll link down below) then you know that I LOVE cleaning with HOCl. I used to use the Force of Nature, but I upgraded to the NatureChlor because I can make much larger amounts of HOCl. When we bought a new house I wanted to clean all the carpets, but I didn't want to use all the chemical and fragrance that comes with the carpet steamer. So I ignored the warranty on the new Bissell Revolution and dumped gallons of HOCl in my brand new carpet cleaner. I think it worked really well and the house smelled fresh without the chemical smells. This is a great way to clean your carpets a non toxic way!

I've also been researching hypochlorous acid, mainly in the realm of skin care and eye health. Have you as well? I would love your input on this if you have. I am pretty sure I'm now going to need to purchase my own at home hypochlorous acid magical maker machine, as well as a carpet cleaner machine to use it with! Thank you so much for this video!

Good job about caring that your children and your family aren't using toxic chemicals. Amazing how many people are completely unaware what they're doing to themselves and their families. Do you remove your shoes when you come in the house, you didn't say.

Yes, we do remove our shoes at the door. I definitely make the effort to reduce chemicals. We aren't the perfect, healthy family, but I think the effort counts.

I am surprised how much vinegar it takes for your pH to come down. Maybe you have really hard water and the vinegar has to chew through that first before the pH drops. In theoretical 100% pure water (which doesn't exist outside of research labs) it only takes a few drops per gallon to drop the pH from 7 to 4.

I just keep the ph strips handy and it seems to be working great.

I'm so confused. That device you used to electrolize the water isn't on the Force of Nature website, it is a discontued item? Or is it from another company?

The device I used is called NatureChlor. It is a different company. I started with the Force of Nature, but quickly moved to NatureChlor because it is easier to use my own salt and vinegar and make large batches. I still use my NatureChlor unit all the time to make HOCl.

@@kimberlindy You're welcome! The NatureChlor unit is more expensive, but if you are making a lot of HOCl it is worth it. I usually make 1-2 gallons every 2 weeks.

When you clean with hypochlorous acid is it safe to use a steam cleaner? Isn’t it a problem to heat the acid?

On the Force of Nature website it says it can be used in a carpet cleaner. www.forceofnatureclean.com/disinfect-bedroom/
