Nona's story 

Thank God there are humans that care! Some are so evil and cruel. How could they have no sympathy for these magnificent and beautiful creatures?

@pascal12312 hi, Nona is doing really well, she's a very happy, healthy gorilla and she is in the same group as Shufai. She's made a full recovery from her injuries and is very contented in her group in the forest.

@gorillafan100 Hi, you'll be pleased to hear that Nona is a very happy, healthy gorillas and she lives in our very large forest sanctuary with 10 other gorillas. She made a full recovery from her injuries and spends her days deep in her forest home with her mates! (sorry for the delay in replying!)

@sixaremycharms The infants are clinging to their mothers who are shot for their meat. There is not enough meat on an infant so the poachers aren't interested. Gorilla infants don't usually survive the trauma of losing their parents so the poachers don't make it even to the pet trade, unlike baby chimps which often turn up for sale at markets. Nona was clinging to her mother who was butchered for her meat, Nona was left to die. They don't take them to sanctuaries because they don't care.

I couldn't just walk by a baby gorilla like that lying on the ground crying for her mother and food. those are heartless people that do this kind of thing. sit there and listen to that baby crying while cooking her mother. well I'm glad this one has got a second chance at life unlike so many that don't, Yeah I'm mad, mad as hell! it's so good to hear the latest of Nona I wish her a long life and I hope she has babies herself.

Now I can understand how and why God destroyed and rid the world of all humans with a flood. Humanity is inherently evil. It takes barbaric demonic indifference to do such cruelty to innocent animals. I am so thankful that at least one baby could be rescued. Thank you

Yes, it is horrific the poachers are in business. Perhaps those countries could offer an alternative and sustainable food source that would meet the needs of the people. If my child was hungry and/or starving I think we would do whatever would stop the pangs of hunger. On the other hand, if it is something akin to filet mignon and a luxury ~ then they should be punished severely. Instead if sitting in judgement ~ we must be part if the solution. I love these primates and never want to see them harmed. But we have to investigate why they are being killed and offer the alternative.
