I couldn't hold back the tears after watching the video. I am grateful there are people helping these babies, and that Shufai is doing ok. It is a great tragedy the pain and suffering these babies are forced to endure.
The fact that his emotional needs were honored by not forcing personal contact for two weeks tells me you are angels and this little boy now has a happy life because of your respect for him. When Rachael finally did connect with him finally after two weeks, he had the time to recover enough to heal and open his heart to her. How lovely that is!
I have seen soooo many abuse videos on here and yet @RU-vid does nothing about all of these channels promoting all of these videos of all different types of primates and animals in general being abused tortured put into very dangerous situations just to get video time NOTHING IS DONE. !!!!! Now I commented “ There’s a special place in HELL waiting for people who steal / Torture any type of babies and my comment got flagged and reported and they told me about my comments meeting community standards 😡😡😡😡🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😳😳😳😳😳😳😳🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
@@MegaKikeGasGas Enrique, I am very sorry for your pain, and I hope you make a full recovery very soon. I too know pain. I have had a debilitating disease for thirty seven years now, and have been in pain almost every day for each of those years. Humans are not responsible for my troubles, though. I imagine, as hard as it is to be in pain, it is made worse by knowing it was inflicted on you deliberately. The only thing I would say to you is that if you don't avoid bitterness and self-pity (I'm not suggesting, for one moment, that you are either bitter or self-pitying, but it is easy to slip down that road), you harm yourself, and diminish the good days for yourself, and those around you. Those two things are more destructive than any disease, or injury. My heart goes out to you, and I hope your pain will stop, and that your next surgery will be successful, and final. You are obviously a good person, who has been through terrible hardship. Stay strong, Enrique. You'll make it out the other side. There will be good days again. I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.
It has to be an awesome feeling to gain their trust and for them to interact with the little ones they rescued they will have a friend for life i dont think they will ever forget the care and love they received when they were rescued
Human beings can be so Evil! It seems we destroy everything we come into contact with! We have badly abused our planet and the living things around us! One day we r going to pay the price for it. Thank God there r still good people with caring hearts. That is not enough though we all need to come together to fight for and protect the rights of animals. We need to do this for them and for ourselves!
Shufai, was, cleaning onto his mother as she & her family of other gorillas were being shot at with a shot gun. Shufai's mother & family were killed. Shufai, though being hit, by pellets, was mostly protected by his dying mother, was rescued when the poachers were disturbed by park wardens. He was seriously injured & endured an operation to save his life, then a lengthy recovery by the staff of Mefou national park. To answer your question, I wouldn't kill a whole family of Gorillas to sell off their body parts as souvenirs. People in Africa don't usually eat Gorillas as Bush meat. There are plenty of other things they hunt that are more abundant. Westland/Eastland & more so the Mountain Gorillas are critically endangered. So the question of killing to feed a family with Gorilla meat is very rarely practiced. It's for the greed for money. Poachers would get a pittance, but the buyer's make an unnecessary fortune.
He was one of the lucky ones!! There's so many other babies just like him that spend decades being tormented, tortured and abused and only find relief in death!! It is very sad!! I am very happy for this little guy! May his future be filled with happiness! And may he only feel love and Trust with any humans he made have contact with in his future!!
I would give them most of my money if I had any. Currently I'm an undergraduate in animal sciences. Hang in Shufai..some of us are preparing to fight for you along with yours carers
Kudos to you.. Im ashamed that there are people out there in my/our race that are able to complete such cruel acts as these, but at the same time i'm proud that i have people like yourself willing to step up to the plate.. I hope you and everyone involved in this, have a happy, complete life...
@pascal12312 Hi, Shufai has made an amazing recovery from his injuries and is now living in a forest enclosure with 10 other gorillas. Djenga is still with him and they have a close bond. Shufai has some problems with his wrist which we are monitoring but he is a happy, confident gorilla in his social group.
@@nadiapaz2908 Hi. Thanks for asking about him. Shufai has been through a lot but he's now a magnificent silverback. You can read about his journey, including what happened with his injuries at www.apeactionafrica.org/News/shufais-journey.
@@ApeactionafricaOrg thanx for the update on Shufai. How wonderful to read he s doing good, despite everything he had to go through like the amputation. Thanx for the great work you all do!!! ❤
I read the information provided by your link. How interesting that even as an amputee, he is still preferred over the other males by the females! Showing that female gorillas think with their hearts as well as their heads. ❤🦍❤
Amen to that! Anyone that can do things like that to an animal has issues and are practicing to do harm to a person is what we have seen over and over again. The laws should be harsher
Thank you for your comment. It's always interesting that there's a small group of society who assume that people who are compassionate to animals do not feel likewise to people, and don't consider to ask what we do for the children and their families in our area in Cameroon....water, electricity, a school, toilets in schools so they don't use their playground as an open toilet, life saving vaccinations for 500+ people.....to name but a few.
So much pain for this sweet baby!! What a cruel world!! I agree that some situations are simply heartbreaking, while others do all they can to heal the trauma. My heart goes to these people and their tiny charges
Thank you, we appreciate your support. Let's hope the CITES conference this week in Bangkok will do something to stop the international trade in trafficking animals.
Just beautiful -- THANK YOU for being there for them -- you're a Godsend, I tell you -- rescuing them from horror and giving them a healthy, happy and comfy life is wonderful -- we cannot thank you enough -- you're the best -- We love you Shufai!
Why are people so cruel...basic laws of compassion are written on our hearts but so many ignore them and do what they please...they love the dark more than the light. Thank you for saving this precious baby💜 I wish him well...
Poor Shufai what pain and mental torture this little one went through. It's about time humans woke up to the fact that we are not more important than any other creature on this beautiful planet. We were all created equal and all creatures deserve to be treated with love and compassion. Well done rescuers for doing this important work, roll on the time when rescues of this sort will not be needed. May the Love and Light of all Creation be with you always.
