I just watched that Mario movie...it was weird! I've never played a Mario game in more whole life, so I'm gonna spill all my thoughts about it. I might not get all the names and stuff right or understand any of the references. But hey, I'm here to ask all the big questions about what's going on in this movie. Join me for the next 15 minutes of pure confusion, and let's see if we can make sense of this Mario madness together. It's gonna be a wild ride!

Oh, man...I watched it in one sitting and I honestly got overstimulated. That was A LOT...haha! Was there a particular reason why you watched it in two days?

honestly its kinda interesting hearing the perspective on this movie coming from someone who's pretty unfamiliar with the franchise

That was the plan...haha! I wanted to bring in a fresh perspective, that wasn't solely judged by the movie for its plot or being blinded by nostalgia. I do think a lot of shows and movies head in this direction of capitalizing on nostalgia. I wanted to know what it was like to be an outsider. It was kind of an experiment in a way with me as the guinea pig... hahaha! But enough about me? What did you think of the movie? Do you think It did a good job of bringing the world of Mario onto the big screen?

I actually enjoyed the fact that Luigi was the one that got kidnapped instead of Princess Peach instead of leaving her as the damsel in distress. I know you haven’t played the games but you get what I’m saying right? Quite an interesting spin on things to say the least.

I honestly think Illumination is very underrated as a whole. At one point I didn’t care for them but I’ve slowly changed my mind on them since. I like them all for different reasons, despicable me, song, secret life of pets, the grinch movie 2018 was honestly really good overall too I have to say. How many of their movies have you seen at all?

I've seen Despicable Me (1-3) Hop, The Lorax, Minors, Sing, The Grinch and Mario. The animation is fun...but it's just not my cup of tea.

Did you hear about the live-action Legend of Zelda at all? It could be interesting but I’m kind of surprised they’re not going the animation route. It would be more ideal.

Have you seen Illumination’s new movie migration yet? It’s so good I think. I absolutely love it. It’s a lot of fun and really heartfelt too. All the characters are likeable as well. I highly recommend it.

I would give anything to see a Pokémon animated movie with this level and quality and not the remake of Mewtwo strikes back on Netflix. That would be amazing I think.

Chris Pratt is everywhere nowadays. I’m definitely looking forward to the new Garfield movie coming out later on this year as well. I’m a big fan of the character but I do find his casting questionable. I think he’s already voiced enough animated characters like Mario and Emmett from the Lego movie but that’s just me.

To be honest, I think I'm all set with not watching the sequel. I got a massive headache after watching this one...haha!

Pretty good movie overall. I don’t love it per se. I do feel as though the storytelling could’ve been better. There’s a lot I do like about this movie and I’m not the biggest Mario fan, I’ve played most of the games but not enough to consider myself a massive fan. Looking forward to the sequel however.

In all honesty I prefer the two sonic movies we recently got over this but that’s not to say the Mario movie is bad by any means at all.

I did enjoy trying to explain what was happening in this movie...haha. If the Sonic movies are just as chaotic then I'll give it a try! Also, isn't Jim Carrey in them?

@@CinemaOverAnalyzed yeah he is actually. But he probably won’t be coming back for the third movie however. He’s basically retired from acting. He was great in the first 2 movies however.
