Noon whistle, Kinzua lumber mill, Pilot Rock, Oregon 

Here is one of the few surviving steam whistles in regular use in Oregon. Most other whistles are now blown on compressed air, but this one is on steam. I could not see the whistle itself, but by the steam pattern it is most likely a Sinker-Davis horizontal two-bell whistle.
