Sometimes your day can just go from great to not so great haha
I left the GoPro on for too long and wanted to save the battery on the front camera for landing but at least the day was great in the end and still have the landing on the rear GoPro.
I am slowly trying to work out my video and audio setup for RU-vid. I have tried a few times with my lapel mic but haven't found the best spot just yet. A mate has suggested a great idea of having it coming from the top of the helmet. Once it is sorted I will start doing proper videos :P
Hope you enjoyed this flight. Many people have asked for raw flights and decided to keep this one raw. Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Moyes is such a fine brand. I have had my contour harness for over 30 years with HEAVY use and is in perfect shape

100% agree the quality of their products are outstanding. Although I passed on that harness I now have an updated contour harness that will last me decades

My method was also belly first, then flipping over, then spitting out sand.

Beautiful flight! Really like the lack of music,just the ambient sounds. How far offshore can you go safely without losing too much altitude? Say to buzz a sailboat?

haha if you want to buzz a sailboat, prepare to swim to that sailboat afterwards. when you go away from the cliff you are losing your updraft and now on a slow glide down losing altitude. So you cant buzz a sailboat and come back up from it.

Is that your old harness is it 😂 I’m a tad tall for it and the shoulder straps are held with zip ties. Still been an amazing harness though! I won’t be top landing there for some time, maybe another 1,000 approaches haha.

@@TheCameronEvans Nice. I have some solo time in sailplanes and always wanted to try hang gliders. The constant turbulence of riding thermals always made me uneasy but it looks like these coastal sites are generally pretty smooth? Which surprises me given the jagged terrain, I would expect more intense vortices to be created in that vicinity even given a steady on-shore flow.

@@dr-ozone nice! Sail planes would be amazing to fly. Coastal flying can be so smooth, especially compared to inland flying. Don’t get me wrong there are days still where the wind can have a few holes and not smooth but overall the smoothness is exactly why I love flying coastal and doing touch & go’s all day 😁🙌

@@TheCameronEvans yee haa , I’m sure you will do fine and probably be top of the stack🤙I pick up my gecko from being tuned and also get my rx 3.5 back from being stripped and inspected tomorrow as well , stannys on . Big day for both of us. Just to reassure you the glider has 18 hours on it and was looked after and has had no crashes or bent anything , it’s sweet relax and have fun 😎

@@justhangin7186 thanks mate 👍 It would have been awesome to come to stanny tomorrow, i have the full day aside to fly but I also want to fly the shark at my local first that I’m familiar with 😆 I have a trip in mind that I may make soon, 3 days of flying. Stanwell to Hill 60 to Lake George 😉🤙
