Its sad, when I started listening I really wanted to like Opie, even though everyone always said that he sucks. Now, a few years later, It almost angers me to even hear his un-talented voice.

Same here. I never hated Opie at first, I tried to like him. But over the years I couldn't help but grow to hate everything about him. I wouldn't go into details, but he's fucking awful, just an overgrown corny frat dude who's horribly insecure. How can anyone with at least half a brain not hate him?

I started listening this past March. I read the negative comments when it came to Gregg. I'm an adult. I'm capable of thinking for myself, so I kept an open mind - like you, I quickly began disliking him as a radio personality. Then, I disliked him as a human. It was really strange considering I never met the guy. He truly has zero redeeming qualities.

I must have listened to 15,000 hours of o&a over the decade I've been a fan - and I go back and forth between hating Opie and defending him. The fans who constantly shit on him for ANYTHING are annoying. Let's be real, a lot of the time he's just "okay". Sometimes he's even good. Never great. Not sure why it needs pointing out in every single comment section though.

I used to wonder why everyone hated opie, then i listened to the nopies, and then went back to normal shows and started to cringe as i realised how many times opie put the brakes on very good conversations or ruined the flow of really funny jokes and back and forths. The lame things he would say and the zero contribution to stories. Alway going to calls..........

He didn’t ruin it. Anthony ruined it by getting fired at the end of the day. EVERYTHING went to shit after he left. Each of them alone are unlistenable garbage. Norton doing stupid Doug bell the least effort character he can do with subpar podcast and dull radio show, Anthony has been droning on about the same shit he’s been on since the old OandA only difference now is you can see how truly creepy he looks with those dents in his head and opie has now started making podcast in cars instead of the beach. They all suck now.

The amount of times I've fallen asleep to Nopie segments, only to wake up in the middle of the night to hear Bobo demonstrate his crowd work skills for opening for Joe DeRosa , or to hear about Bawby being dragged by his wrist with his Italian IM watch caught in the subway car door... These guys don't realize how many people they have helped have some laughter in their difficult lives, even years after the show died.

Sorry to hate on Opie, but the show is just Funnier when he is not there. The things I like about the show, the goofy joking around with Anthony and the comics is there. Lately, all Opie does is complain about Twitter and pointless celebrities in the most annoying voice.

If only Opie called blacks savages. The show would have been so much better with just jim and ant, and to be honest, sam makes a pretty good 3rd mike. I know its been said a million times, but Opie makes the show so hard to listen too. I'd rather listen to Ant rant about Obama for an hour straight again than listen to anything Opie has to say, hes so cringy.

opie has said plenty of horrendous shit about black people. i was just listening to an episode from 2007 i think it was black pride month or mlk day or something and tyra banks was talking about how important it was that she was on the cover of some magazine and opie goes "let's hear from the shwoogies i wanna hear from the shwoogies about this" (as an example off the top of my head) he would call patrice a shwoogie and laughed hysterically at his own joke about patrice eating watermelon IN HIS FACE. anthony would NEVER do shit like that, unless it was actually funny

Last concert I saw was Anthrax at the Sherman Theater couple years ago. Fuck taking pictures, it was way more fun just watching the show and moshing with greybeard metal heads. The morning after the show, my next door neighbor died of a drug overdose. When the coroner wheeled him out, I took pictures of that instead.
