I love you because you bring it when there is no place to bring it from other than your heart, You are not afraid to flash a mother's smile or to light up the lives of the many during these trouble times. I've truly enjoyed her little concerts from home...I even hook my bluetooth speaker and rock the neighborhood while I'm I'm gardening..had lots of thumbs up and no complaints..js..she makes the work feel cooler and enjoyable..js..
What I love so much about Nora is that she doesn't need a giant stage, or great lighting, or extra singers, or expensive props, all she needs is her gorgeous, soulful VOICE. No one like her today.
I love Norah, but may I recommend if you haven't heard her yet, Angelina Jordan. She is Jazz based singing since age 2. She is now 18, and has 200 covers and a bunch of originals. This is supposed to be her break out year.
Hey dudes, we are listening to a mini concert of a award-winning, top jazz artist of the 2000s decade sitting in front of her acoustic piano with another notable blues musician, both singing for us. All of this in a 10 square meter room. We are into it.

This was great! A few good things have come out of the covid-19 situation... this is one of them. What freaking talent... these ladies' sense of pitch, time, feel is incredible... no Pro Tools plug-ins, no post-production, no overdubs., no loops, no "grid", no samples, no sequencers. Just real music. Been a Nora Jones fan since day 1 now a Sasha Dobson fan too.
Hearing this kind of musical chemistry is such a thrill. It all sounds so loose and casual but they’re so in sync with each other! And I’m trying to see/hear if there’s any audio trickery going on but as far as I can tell, it’s exactly what it seems. One well placed mike in the room gets the job done. Too cool!
Back when I was working and before the world started going to hell, I used to listen to this in my car on the way to the bookstore I can no longer sit in. Thank you for this Norah, it is much appreciated.

Great to hear Norah and Sasha again. I've probably watched that live version of Tell Yer Mama from the 2009 Live at Le Poisson Rouge show a zillion times. Y'all captured the full spirit of that show with just the two of you. Even without the fancy clothes. ;)
