Nord Electro 5D Demo & Review 

now thats what I call a proper keyboard review , thankyou , love the way you dont have this big ego you dont show off , your just genuine , and best of all , you didnt play Strawberry Fields on the Mellotron Flute sample like every other demo does lol , subbed

I just bought one - waiting for it to be delivered in 2 days! It's my 2nd keyboard and a major upgrade for me. This is a great video - I love the split screen so I can see what is happening on the left side. I look forward to getting some tips from you!!!

I love a massive swelling organ in the morning

Lots of vids on this Nord 5D but IMO yours is the best--very thorough and detailed, and filled with a ton of the variety of features this keyboard contains. I've been a professional musician all my life and have probably owned and played 30 or 40 keyboards, starting with a Hammond "model A" (not the A100 like churches use--this was the precursor to the B3. Had the same tones but no percussion BUT the keys went an octave lower than the B3--so learned how to play LH bass!). The B3 (and especially Leslie rotary effect) has been hard to duplicate in anything weighing less than 200 lbs but I believe this 5D nails it. Plus it has so many other features, power and variety that I believe it could be the "one and only" for gigging keyboardists who struggle to find all that they need in a single board. Just curious: Why didn't you invest in the 73 note version? It seems that 61 notes are limited--especially if you want to split the board and have ample notes for each section.

Hi. Thanks for the demo. Great sound, but what lack in this demo and in all other demos on the Internet is how to find the organ section on the Nord electro 5d and find all the different organ sounds, etc. like you do in this video. From where do you start to only focus on organ?

Love the layered violin-piano sound around the 19:00 mark....1. is there name of the song at the 19:00 & 21:40 marks? 2. Whats a good price to purchase the Electro 5D these days 3. Which speaker are you using? It sounds ridiculously beautiful....21:40 mark as well when you mix the strings and piano!!!

Very nice review, only, if you could turn off your vocal mic when you play, it's hard to enjoy the tones when you can hear the manual key clicks...

Electro 6 is great.. but this 5 will do the job if you need an additional nord piano library or sample Library.. also electro 5d 61 now are cheaper $1600 brand new😀 same piano memory with electro 6.

Sorry what I'm trying to find out is - When you buy the Nord Electro 5 how many standard sounds are available in the sample library eg is it just the mellotron and the rest you have to download etc

In depth and generally covers most of what we want to know, so thanks for that. Maybe next time cut out the room mic while you are playing. The clicky sounds of the keys totally distracts from the sounds we want to hear...

Hi - great video. I bought an Electro 5D couple months ago. B-3 & Rhodes, etc., fine. I can't get any of the acoustic grands to sound as good as your video. I've downloaded several. Best is Grand Lady D but upper registers sound thin and 'tinny' to me, especially compared to my Kurzweil keyboards. I'm playing through good quality JBL speakers/ amps. tried leaving on board EQ OFF and turning it on & adjusting. please tell me your EQ setup for video & describe your playback gear . thanks for help !

With the actual sound library - how many libraries of sounds are there ? I know they have the mellotron but what are the others ? Does nay one know

FANTASTIC and FAITHFUL sounds along with the user-friendly setup, in addition to the new E-E keyboard (finally..) . I could even live without split/layer if purchasing is towards studio environment ( I'm not saying it's not needed, it should be there since Electro 3 anyway...! ) HOWEVER.., main problem is there's TOO MUCH KEY CLICK NOISE !!!! Nord should either change their keybed system or the keys supplier as a whole.. It is unacceptable to hear so much key clicks on a 2.000$+ Nord, like you hear on a 200$ Casio. Sorry, it's a huge turn-off..
