Great video Matthew. Nice and straight to the point. I have a Yamaha XS6 Workstation, had it for a year now and i am still finding new and exciting sounds from it..! These instruments will not perform for you, but YOU can perform with them. :)
I am a relatively new piano learner and nowadays I am looking for a proper and decently capable device to persist with my improvement plan. I really find Nord's qualities incredible and I want a device like that to practice with my friends in both house and studio settings. Can anybody recommend me which model of keyboard should I use and buy to get sounds similar to these. My current budget is limited to around 1500 dollars. (I mean 88 keys, real piano key size keyboard which offers decent synthesizer sounds, too.) I know I want so many things with this budget however maybe someone can help me to clear my mind. Thanks in advance and have a nice day everyone! By the way, thanks for uploading this informative video and playing these enchanting improvisations.
its awesome how you can download different piano's, I doubt it but does Yamaha have a similar feature where you can download extra piano's and add them to your library?
+joy Hi Joy, I'm afraid the background music doesn't have a name really - it's just a short improvisation I put together for background music using sounds from the Stage 2 EX. I'm glad you like it though! All the best.
4:01 dude, Your improvising playing is nice. I came here that Mike Shinoda used the same keyboard in concerts since 2018 - 2019. BTW, does this keyboard has Final countdown intro sound?
Can I go see one somewhere in the Salt Lake City (Utah/USA) area? Guitar center doesn't seem to have any of those models--particularly the EX 88. I want to see how the keys feel under my fingers. You've convinced me on the sounds.
Does it have brass sounds? I saw it in the list but confirming cause I didnt hear them much like he had the string & brass ensemble but not brass on its own, anyone know?
After much research and going between many many options, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Stage 2 EX. I get it tomorrow. I'm wondering if I'm going to feel underwhelmed with it in real-world use. Please tell me I'm wrong.
I ended up going with the Nord Electro 5D. I realized I'd rather have real drawbars for organ and I wasn't going to be using the analog synth that much. I love it except for the fact that it doesn't have a mod wheel or pitch bend.
Very nice demo and these instruments do of course sound great. For me though, the price point compared to Kronos makes it hard to justify.....for me Kronos wins.
That's amazing, is there any song that you based it on or a song that you know that is kind of similar? I feel like I've heard something like it somewhere before
Lol, how I wish it was correct! Why they just don't simply release the "D" 's XL (a real one) version or brand new Steinway B or C or even another D. Very Nice (as always) demo BTW!
+Matthew Cossey This is a wonderful improvisation! I keep returning to this and listen to it again. It sounds like a wonderful start to a wonderful musical story. Wished I could listen to more of this.
great piano , but the strings are ridiculous , don't play the violin pleaaase..the others sounds seems amazing especially the piano;i have a roland rd700nx and i'd like to know if the piano touch is better , cause with mine it's sometimes hard , especially with classical music thanks for the demo (i'd like to hear your technique , like hearing you with the chopin studies , or art tatum works u know..)
Sou um grande fã seu, e gostaria de saber se você poderia disponibilizar os presets que você usou no Musikmesse 2015, o Brasil te agradece. Meu email é lucasfornazare@yahoo.con.br (Dropbox) Thank you very much!
+Lucas Fornazare Hi Lucas, sorry I've only just noticed your comment - sorry if my reply is irrelevant now! Most of the patches are available to download as bundles from my website - www.mattcossey.co.uk Some are free and some are £0.99. Hope that helps. Cheers.
