Just spent a day at the FLIBS boat show with my son-in-law and had the opportunity to tour a pre-owned Nordhaven 41 (first Norhaven I'd seen in the flesh and was duly impressed). This new 59CP is the one I'd love to have. That engine room reminds me of my Navy days, and is one I'd the best I've seen on a yacht this size, especially the well thought out soft patches for engine overhauls.
The CP tends to be a step out of the Nordhavn comfort zone. They generally don't make aft galley with the helm in the main solon. It's a good boat but won't be pushing the big yacht companies out of the market.
@@timroden6617 We have owned hull 1 of the Coastal Pilot for over 6 years now and have cruised over 13,000 NM in it. We did the Great Loop in it, headed to the Panama Canal in it and made it to Honduras in March of 2020 and got stuck there as Central America was shut down to COVID. After waiting 2 months, and the outlook of restrictions not being lifted, we did a 1,000 mile U Turn and went straight up the Caribbean, around Cuba and back to Jupiter Florida. We have also done the Baja Bash, and we are now in British Columbia after cruising up the California, Oregon and Washington coast . I would bet that there are not many, as a percentage, Nordhavn owners who have done more ocean miles than us. Yes, some Nordhavns can cross oceans but very few people do, I have heard far less than 5%. I also do not believe that there is a Nordhavn as versatile as the CP59. Yes, I know what I am talking about since I have lived it.
"Enclosed toilet space"....as video shows toilet open to Master cabin.........sorry...after my wife goes, I really appreciate a truly enclosed toilet space!!!!
