I absolutely agree with this. In every area, this is my favorite Nordhavn, yet. The galley and engine room are fabulous! All that and being able to travel through conditions even other trawler-style yachts wouldn't or couldn't.
Perhaps the best laid out and well thought out boat i evr seen really cant think of 1 thing the owners missed,Wat a gem of boat thanks fer sharing Sunday morning with us
I absolutely LOVE the external Ladder to the Flybridge, allowing for the Captain's Quarters & the Pilothouse Head (I appreciate the proximity for watchstanders). Ship's layout is so nice for Owner Operations & creature comforts. I would augment the fixed solar panels with multiple flexible panels to further reduce diesel consumption and at least reseach whether a Kite-Sail System is feasible for Really Long Passages (eg. Trans-Pacific).
This boat is absolutely amazing. Love the kitchen layout and the way that they redid everything. inspiring video. I am a dreamer and the 68 will be the boat that I purchase when I’m ready.
Nordhavn are just fantastic yachts, not only look good but just give you that solid feeling. Love the style and layout of this one and the engine room is just a work of art. This was a great walk through Garrett thank you so much.
The best layout I have seen on a 68'. Beautiful and so well looked after. Pure pride in your yacht. 1 question is:- What would the range be with the Scania main engine please. Thanks for the tour and the video.
A truly spectacular boat and a marvellous tour, thank you. A question (please excuse my ignorance), if heavy maintenance is required on the engine, such as a change over, how do the mechanics/techs get the engine out?
There are two large removable hatches in the salon, which are dogged down and covered with carpet and hopefully never used. If the main engine, gear box, wing engine or a generator needs to be removed, these hatches would be opened and a lifting apparatus constructed to get the unit out and back in again.
You mention the two fire resistant watertight doors leading to the engine room. Are the surrounding bulkheads as fire resistant and if so, what is their fire rating? Beautiful vessel...
Absolutely filthy, depending on where you are, also diesel can grow its own algae, a fuel polishing system is a must have on any diesel boat, nothing will kill a Diesel engine faster than a single drop of water
