2th time on the Nordschleife with my new R1. Still need to ride it more often to learn the last part of the circuit. But it was a great ride with the Yamaha and the Triumph Social media Instagram: / djim_r1
@5:57 The engine didn't stop "randomly" you over-revved it on a downshift and the ECU cut the motor. Very lucky you didn't blow it to pieces. Still you were quick and that Triumph rider was insanely smoooth!
How does the ecu prevent a mechanical over Rev? The only way to stop it is to engage the clutch and disconnect the motor from the transmission, isn't it?
this is actually the most realistic POV of the nordschleife on a bike. I´ve ridden it with my own R1 and it feels just like this. A lot of bumps, wobbling, heavy wind sometimes and very hard to understand slope.
Finally someone that knows the facts, with the wide lens and the low frames in combination with my shutter speed i got a blurry side effect that gives the viewer a better view thats almost identical to what i see on the bike in real life✌🏼
@@djim_r1 Looks bloody fantastic! I was wondering how you got such good footage, different from the other on-board stuff I'm used to watching. You used a slightly slower shutter speed? Great video and audio too, R1 cross plane crank is the best sounding bike on the planet. Got myself a new 22 R1 last year, love it!
Huh? The RR rider was simply way more familiar with the track and probably a better rider in general. On equal terms, the R1 would beat the RR easily on the Nordschleife
@@djim_r1 Thanks a lot for the responce! I really enjoyed the video btw. My question is, with almost the same long gears with the R1 and taking into consideration that you have a tune on the R1, how can it be only 177.5hp on the Speed? You would expect with 25hp less power than the R1, the Speed would need much shorter gears to pull. I am asking many questions 😅 as I am considering the Speed 1200 RR for myself. Thus, I would really appreciate another video that you race against the Speed with your R1 (when you know the track better)!
The most bullshit comment i’ve read so far 😂 My gopro is setup with low frame rate and high shutter speed. These settings in combination with a ND filter will get more motion blur. With more motion blur the video shows more accurate what I see in person at that track. I’ve set my gopro like this to give the viewer the most accurate perspective of what I see. And with more motion blur in the video the the pov looks more hectic and more feeling for the speed. So no, its absolutely not made faster. It just looks faster because of my settings. And if you don’t believe me, try these settings yourself.
"engine stops randomly"....that isn't why the Triumph blew past you and disappeared😄. That and those false neutrals, isn't it time you traded for a Triumph?
The Triumph was fuckin gone! Your R1 has some SERIOUS issues; cutting off?! I count 3 crashes you would've had if you were in a turn. Get that shit fixed.
@@vannevels6758 Eh? I don't over-rev my bikes with clumsy downshifts. This guy is obviously quick but why he's keeps aggressively downshifting to keep an R1 motor over 10K revs I have no idea! It's not an RSV250 or a wheezy Fireblade! R1s have plenty of mid-range grunt - use it!
rumour has that a triple is one of the best engine design configurations, by that i mean its almost the the same touque as a twin in acceleration and almost the same top end of a four but a triple has brilliant mid range .
So much cringe in this video. I can’t tell if you are a really good rider or just very lucky. There are so many times where you are adding lean angle and throttle at the same time. Thank god for those Yamaha electronics. Stay safe brother.
Servus ihr zwei, der Kollege L. ist ja eh wahnsinnig schnell, ihr beide zusammen auch; sagt ihr mal bitte was zu den Reifen und welchen luftdruck ihr fahrt danke
I was sure as shit the R1 would clean up here but man i was wrong that guy pased you at full noise and pulled away so fast.. most impressed bt the triumph 1200rr ill look at getting now.. good show mate.👍
You have to be more careful riding a motorcycle I think you were lucky not to hit the ground . the exits of many curves were done with the wrong gear, which causes stress to the whole bike, that's why the good electronics of the bike are worth it, go lighter with the accelerator. keep up the good curves
I thought ill speed up the boring part of me putting back my card and putting on my gloves. But more people are enjoyed by the small speed up part. So ill leave it the next time just raw
