@@troywhite5147 please explain your comparison what is unhealthy about playing a song exactly. Cause that unhealthy food can kill you how does that compare to the song being played exactly?
Kev, you have no idea how much I appreciate this right now. With Rona running rampant closing down everything? Wow man. Please don't every trivialize or minimize the work that you're doing. Damn! I need that. NSU Spartan Legion stand up!!! Behold...
@@KillaKevProd your work is both necessary & appreciate. My son plays for this band & when he was in HS in Newark, NJ I was able to be at every marching band, jazz band, rock band performance & record every moment. Since Norfolk is 6 1/2 hours away this is no longer possible. Your work allows me to virtually be present with my son & the band & still show my support. Your recordings & your work is now mine. Even though I hardly ever get a clear shot of him it's ok cuz I know & feel he's there & I'm there with him. A thousand thanks for what you have done, are doing & will do. Bless you man. This is no small endeavor
This is why I love me some MEAC. It’s not just about powerful brass blasting over everything. It’s about an appreciation for the woodwinds, balance and tonality. The Spartans, A&T, FAMU BCU all have this down to an art form. Exceptional job as always Spartan Legion.
New subscriber. *NOTHING* beats our HBCU marching bands! ❤ My only negative comment is food for thought: What an uplifting song that is. Let the fullness of it sink in man: I've got murder on my mind. I wanna steal a human being from their loved ones and leave nothing but devastation in my wake. For real? We do realize that sinks into our souls right? We know our kids are influenced by that right? And we wonder why the murder rate within our own communities is so bad. There's a lot to it but let's not pretend music has no influence. We gotta do better fam. Said with all the love and passion in my heart. We gotta save ourselves because nobody else will do it for us. Change starts from within.
All these comments calling nsu trash and our song sucks is whack🤦🏽♂️ it be the people who never even played or know how to play like shut up. Like we are grown and I’m reading comments like “this not school appropriate “ WE ARE 18 AND UP. Stop comparing nsu to any swac bands who aren’t musical and only play loud.
Maybe you right and people wrong to want and expect better from the supposedly youth that's on the right track in school. Being grown isn't a age it's a mind frame, it's a certain level of respect and understanding. When I say the song is distasteful, it's because we're in the streets yelling BLM and on the other hand jumping and dancing to a song by a killer of two people.
@@elliotc5040 would you like your daughter saying she has penis on her mind. Negative thinking. It's the same thing .... Nothing different sweetie. I played in the band also for years. This is just bad. If I don't think about the youth who will.???
@@motorcitybuds2117 damn you're right. As a young person my life was all rainbows and unicorns until I heard this song and now I think murder is just great.... You hear how silly that sounds? Give them some credit. They aren't idiots. They can vibe out and enjoy a popular song without having some uncontrollable urge to do something stupid. This whole "devil music is poisoning our children" nonsense has been going on for decades since jazz was invented. It was silly then and it's silly now.
@@nicholaspedroza9060 ain't nothing fun about worshipping , the devil's work.. if I don't think of black youth , who ...people like u..lol okay... They could of did a better song, yes they excellent.... But... It was definitely not a good choice of a song.smdh
