It could take years. You have to very very confident in yourself. Some might call it cockiness but it is confidence.

You have to find the right technique for your body type and figure out which technique works best for you.

I'm enjoying these videos, they give good insight to the sport. They also show how the athlete should mold themselves to the sport and life.

Stringing together days of efficient action builds character (- Kai Greene). In other words, basic fundamentals being applied over and over and over and over again: getting up at certain time, doing certain things, cooking your meals, going to do your cardio, walking through the disciplines, keeping the checklist, and staying on top of them. This will lead to character (mental confidence).

Is there specific exercises to do though such as meditation or visualisation or does it just come with time?

I would say it just comes with time. For some people they listen to music before competitions. Some people I know read books. You just have to find what works best for you. You have to be able to control your heart rate. Hope this helps.

Cool, it would be interesting to hear your analysis and reasons for the technique. At least in the US there seems to be a trend towards more momentary and forceful contact with the hips, whereas your technique seems more fluid with a brushing of the bar against the thighs. I'm interested in what you think are the advantages and disadvantages of the different styles.

Good vids mate. They are loads of help. How would I go about programming a very basic training schedule? I have decent technique (lifting for 2yrs). I rarely miss even at 90+%. I am confident. But I have weak legs. My best C&J is 5 kil under my max front squat. I know I need to eat more, but I need a good squat program to go with. Any suggestions for a squat program?

I am currently working on a website that will offer all types of training programs. When it is done you will see a link on my videos. As far as your front squat being 5kg less than your clean n jerk, that is not a bad thing. It means that you are very efficient. Keep working on your squats but continues the same focus on your lifts as well.
