What makes this song special for me is that i found it the last day before traveling away from my family and i found the song while packing my bag at 4am keep in mind my flight is at 8am and i just kept the song on repeat while packing and now everytime i lstn to it i just remember that moment where i was packing and it just fucks me up and makes me more homesick

Well.. This song comes at the weirdest moment in my life. Was visiting my dad "de cœur" (not my actual dad, but he's a father figure to me) in the US for a week. He's got cancer and this might be the last time I can hold him in my arms. They say he has three more months or so. I leave tomorrow to fly back to Europe. I will have to say goodbye to him but I don't know if I'll have the strength not to cry. So I cry now. Hold your loved ones tight and never hesitate to say you love them.
You aren't and it gets better with time. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, this week, month or year but it does get better. You gotta be able to live. If not for yourself for now then the things around you. A sunset or sunrise, the breeze on your skin, a scent that has a happy memory you can't place, those kinds of things. Always live life finding enjoyment from the little things and with time you'll heal yourself. You aren't broken, just cracked. Cracks, like broken pieces, are fixable but they still linger. Take care of yourself when you can and those cracks won't turn into pieces. You got this. Even if we forget eachother I'll always root for you.

As I get here knowing that there are songs like this that tear your soul and make you cry your heart with tears that cannot be explained in life and that only we, the wounded people, live them in our own flesh, I lost my precious love of 25 years that I thought I would die with that beautiful maiden, the woman who, except for a shitty monster that is life now, is no longer there to enjoy that shit change of life that I have since then. 😓🥹😔
