'Norman Gunston' saner than the commitee who chose "Father of the Year". Undoubtedly, Fraser spent VERY little time with his 4 kids due to being PM. Good on Fraser for admitting as much.
Looking back on those days, the dismissal, and the central character(s), it's easy to understand how the actions of the GG can be seen as outrageous...! An appalling man,an appalling government who profited due to the dismissal. Norman Gunston somehow manages to provide a good laugh in what were stormy times in Oz. Thanks for the upload 😁👍
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can give me!
Make sure you all put the major parties including the greens last on the ballot paper when you vote & pick the freedom parties to give them chances of grabbing a seat... Very important the major parties are put last. They may rig it but its compulsary to vote.
Bear in mind Hawke was "awarded" father of the year ..... and what a shameless fornicator and miserable SOB he was .... a son who refused to have anything to do with him .... a daughter who was raped yet he refused to make it public for fear of the damage his political aspirations .... All if which were triumphed by the terms of his Will where he gave peanuts to his children ...and many millions to his dollybird former mistress and then wife. Father of the year ..... Some award!
I was a wee child when that egotistical fecker Whitlam was dismissed. Nostalgia indeed. It's grand to see the bad guys lose, but such happens rarely nowadays.
John Kerr made a great pantomime villian. I attended the 1977 Melbourne Cup when he rolled up the straight in a gilt carriage before getting into the sherry and giving a fine impersonation of old Falstaff. My Mum caused a stir when she hung over the rail and booed him for sacking Gough. After the Cup, it seemed that the whole crowd had joined her in booing him.
This takes me back so many years. Gary McDonald was fabulous as Norman. Bloody old Malcolm Fraser & Kerr - what a disgrace (not that Tony Abbott's much better).
