I remember watching this live 25 years ago. I'm not sure id my favorite part is his little dance when he comes out, or his line in the speech about "just find some hood stories "
Saw In the Heat of the Night months ago. Terrific movie dealing with race and class. Not the number one fan of Moonstruck, but I think his other work was fantastic.
Congratulations on the Irving Award! Watching this video it appears that the artistically designed statue may have caused some tech induced injury to Norman Jewison by the way his head moved and hands may have become too hot! Great seeing how Mr Jewison holds the shiny part of the statue towards the reflective lights! How disrespectful to seniors! Is this elder abuse? Good idea to let Nicolas Cage hold the statue and just leave it at the Canadian Film Centre!
Whoever was in charge of the technology to assist the way Norman Jewison's head moved should include instead aided technically with him moving to the side from his waist up / upper body not just have his neck move so rapidly to one side!
