#WednESday #1959GibsonES225T 1) Agnesi Jazz Hands 🤗 2) Moondance/Van the Man Morrison beautiful sounding jazzbox from my fav year hello Mark and the Bahama Mamma Jen 🎥🌞🌴🍹
I have a 56, once I adjusted the height of the pick up, it got comfortable to play, I learned quickly that the sounds changes depending where you pick the strings, brighter by the bridge. Great guitar.
This has to be my favorite tone to come out of a Gibson thinline with a P90. The placement of the pick-up? That crazy long trapeze tailpiece/bridge? All of it together? Whatever, I just know I loooooove the sound of this guitar! Wow!
One other difference between these and the 125 is that the 225 has binding on the neck which the 125 lacks. Jeezus that was some quick clean pickin'. One of the best things about these older models with the P90s is that you can find so many tones by working the knobs,
some marvelous moondancing there Mark , very nice guitar , great sound , I'm likin the ES Wednesday thing , need more days of the week to fit in all these genres , Gibson , fender , flattops , archtop , ES , bass , weirdass , so many guitars so little time
Then don't mess with it... no opening theme... no jingle. You can't improve perfect. You can only make it imperfect. (Lord.. I zoom past *any* RU-vid 'opening theme' anyway- this ain't Hawaii 5-0 or Green Acres - get to the video)
Note to self: Be sure to leave odd and discomforting things in guitar cases so that the guy like Mark 60 years from now will be freaked out when he finds them.
Beautiful guitar! Is it just me or is some of the magic kinda gone with the pre-recorded episodes? Part of the beauty of it is knowing they JUST cut it and it's sort of hectic and what not. Maybe I'm weird I dunno. Find this week hard to get into. Kinda wish they just took a vacation and came back HARD when Jen came back.
You bet your bippy people felt differently about Gibby's back in the 50's! 1."Unidentifiable To Me Boppy Jazz" 2. Van Morrison "Moondance". Souvlaki feed me soon! Make it/do it better folks when possible..
Bodyknowledge 77...hey bk, you just dated yourself with that " bet your bippy " stuff. But wait a minute, I know how old/young ( pick one ) you are...so you must of been a re-run kid.....ha....
Ok someone explain this to me. Certain hollow body p-90 guitars such as es 330/casino seem to be seen as multi use guitars. From clean jazz to face melting rock. Why is it that when we see such examples as this beauty, it could only possibly used as a clean picker? They always seem to get pigeon-holed like that, but unless I’m missing something, there really isnt anything wildly different that would prevent such a guitar from being used in a similar way to it’s more...cool relatives. Any thoughts?
I think it’s just that they offer something in the clean department that the more modern solid bodies lack. At high gain, lots of pedals, guitars tend to all blend together and sound the same. A guitar like this shines when you hear its unadulterated pure sound.
5:15 how many years did it take til you could play the lick ? ;) 2. the Iegendary great G is the great G is the great G, and will be in 100.000 years, no matter what the position of tone control whatsoever...
This was my 2nd guitar( first was a silvertone kinda strat copy). I loved this guitar, but the tailpiece sucked! Guitar was stolen by an ex friend and sold.
Oh the days when Norman Guitars was cool...too bad Gibson ruined this guy's social image by telling every company they were gonna sue them, and lose lol Cheers Norman cheers
Now that's a weird spot for a pickup. The whole guitar looks kind of freakish because of that. But soundwise it's great, I should admit - it's the golden mean.
Barry Soetoro----loser you shouldn't even used Childish Gambino's name cuz you will never ever ever understand that kind of soul... Now I have to put it up on my likes dumb f**ck
If you can't find/afford a 225, check out The Loar 302T (if you can find one). 2 pups. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gtqrFJhnCsE.html
