Norman St John-Stevas, later Lord St John of Fawsley (former Leader of the House of Commons, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Arts) interviews sculptress- Elisabeth Frink.
I was just looking at her head; and, thinking to myself that her head looks very much like the profiles that she sculpted; a very broad square type of face/skull/with a pushed out chin. ;-) She certainly talks, and, presents herself very well. I wonder how much being a strong dynamic type of personality is necessary for success in the art world. I mean, would she be equally as successful if she were a lot more retiring and shy?!
nathanbridle - sculptress?!? Dear me, how very 1950's. Sculptor doesn't need an ess at the end because the artist is a woman, the same way poet and manager work absolutely fine for both sexes. Apart from the dated intro, thanks for posting!
