The issue is, I think the distributer would unevenly compress the grounds when you first put it on, people have shown it has a negative impact on extraction. What do you think?

It's a good point. I think if you're good with your tamping technique, you wouldn't need this. I think it's really more targeted at the home wannabe baristas, almost like another bragging piece to add to your coffee collection. I'd prioritise getting an amazing grinder, fresh beans and getting all your timings down.

Use a needle WDT tool then the leveler and then self leveling tamper

i have an NCD and also this. I don't know if return the normcore. It's good the idea but it's so heavy that i think that he also tamp and I don't wnat. Where do you see review of negative impact of exctraction on normcore?

how do you make it leveled? I have the SAME distributor and its the only one that doesnt make my coffee leveled. It makes like a crack the form of the geometry of the leveler, I dont know how to explain it, but it clearly doesnt make my coffee leveled.

Had the same issue which is why I found the video. I think I figured out why. I was pressing it into the basket when it was already extended. This is what causes the divot. Looks like you are supposed to use "gravity" to gently allow it to press against the bed and stop naturally. Then I twist it a bunch, maybe 5-8 times. So start with it fully inside and allow it to gently fall into the bed. Let me know if that worked!!!

@@pxkanstill happening! Texted them with pictures and they sent me another model :) A1 service. I dont Know why mine is faulty. I did it like you said and how he does it in the video also

@@lavlep mine definitely doesn't leave a crack, but as the above commenter wrote you just let gravity do the work and then twist it around a few times. Did the new model work better?
