In the first part we take you on our discovery tour through Manhattan/New York. New York is great to explore on your own.
The trip from Bayonne cruise port to Manhattan is also really easy and inexpensive. We took an Uber taxi from the Port of Bayonne to the 34th Street Light Rail Station. From there we continued with the light rail in the direction of Hoboken to the Exchange Place stop. At Exchange Place you change to the red or green line to the World Trade Center.
In the second part we take you on our discovery tour through Portland/Maine. Portland is great to explore on your own.
First we explored Portland. Then we walked the Eastern Promenade to East End Beach. In the afternoon we took a boat tour with “Casco Bay Lines” - the so-called “Diamond Pass Run” route. It's a scenic boat trip through the Inner Bay, along the coast.
In the third part we take you on our discovery tour through Boston. Boston is great to explore on your own.
We explored the Freedom Trail in Boston. This takes you to many historical sights in Boston.
The Freedom Trail starts at Boston Common, the oldest public park in the USA, and then winds through the city center. You just have to always follow the red brick line on the ground.
In the 4th part we take you on our discovery tour through Halifax. Halifax is a very cozy port city that is great to explore on your own.
We first walked from the harbor to the citadel, then continued to the Halifax Public Garden. On the way through the city you can marvel at the beautiful, colorful houses from the Wilhelminian era.
Back at the harbor we took the ferry to Woodside and from there took the bus to Fishermans Cove. A very worthwhile trip.
In part 5 we take you on our trip to Fundy National Park. With a rental car from Saint John (several providers directly near the port) it is only a short drive to find yourself in the middle of Canada's breathtaking nature. Fundy National Park with bizarre sandstone cliffs, coastal forests, waterfalls and unique hiking areas is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Canada. We were immediately impressed and can only recommend a trip there.
