Viel Spass dabei.
Warbird Aviation
Enjoy the beauty of flying. We fly with our warbirds from the beautiful St. Stephan airfield in Switzerland.
From there we take passenger flights to the Matterhorn or around the Jungfraujoch. Flying over the Swiss glaciers and around the mountains is a fantastic experience in these old airplanes. Warbirds were built very robustly, so that aerobatic maneuvers can also be flown. The planes are very complex and require everything from your pilots. Flying in the mountains is also challenging due to the narrow conditions and rapidly changing weather systems.
The North American T-28 Trojan C version has 1450 hp and is a strong, robust aircraft that was used as a trainer and also as a warbird in numerous theaters of war. Our T-28 has an arrestor hook and was used on aircraft carriers. The propeller is shorter than on other T-28s because the propeller often touched due to the hard landings on aircraft carriers.
The North American T-6 J version was built for the post-war German air force and is rare today. The aircraft is called the Pilot Maker and requires a lot of skill and ability from the pilot to get it into the air and safely back to the ground. This warbird has trained many pilots and it is said that once you have mastered this aircraft you are prepared for the larger warbirds.
Join us because with the cockpit cameras you will have the feeling of sitting in the cockpit of the warbirds and experience flights within Europe. Experience aerobatics and flights over mountains and glaciers at up to 250 knots. Have lots of fun with it.

What an outstanding joy it is to see THIS stunning T-28B for me. My entire experience with TROJANS were when B's were being used for daily training of U.S. Navy pilots in the final years of use after daily beatings for four decades, (and two US Navy wars) of navy pilots at their WORST, as new, that they'd EVER be in their lives - known infamously as "the Boomers", green pilots. The Trojans I knew were tired and beat and yet, as good and reliable as standard combat aircraft so the training fit later duty. Very dirty, loud and smokey, faded, worn but serviceable and reliable as a Model T Ford, yet entirely as challenging to operate and fly as any comparable aircraft in history. The experience was/is the most wonderful, totally unexpected and profound in my life. I learned to fly altogether in a Trojan. Now to see this wonderful showbird, 40 years later and after all - perfect in every square millimeter of aircraft any pilot could appreciate to see this T-28 S Fennec, as beautiful as a Faberge egg, flawlessly up-dated and operating in -4C weather, . . . She has become for me now, "Cinderella". The T-28 Trojan MUST be heralded as one of the greatest of all aircraft by all measure. "Whatta gal!"

She really had it all, retractable, aerobatic and the grand experience of a powerful radial engine. God she was a beast.

@@620473 Roger that! The T-28 Trojan was comparable to a Messerschmidt 109 or FW 190 or even A-1 Skyraider! The bold-as-brass, utilitarian and pragmatic U.S. Navy (and me) used them for basic flight training for several decades. Imagine this: learning to fly from the ground up in about 6-8 months in onnea these! "It's not just a job, it's an adventure." Lotsa smoke and noise as I remember.

Respect gentlemen that was an awesome job. I've had a few airplanes apart and getting that wing on right was a job. Fully aerobatic and only 8K Tow she is a beast! Thanks for sharing.
