About JSA - Joint Security Area 공동경비구역 (2000):
Multiple gunshots were heard at the North Korean checkpoint in the DMZ. Two soldiers were dead and one wounded. South Korean Sergeant Lee (Lee Byung-Hun), a prime suspect of this case, was captured at the border injured. The truth becomes a mystery as the two Korean governments blame each other. Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission dispatches Sophie E. Jean (Lee Young-Ae), a Korean-swiss Army Major, to conduct a special investigation. She interrogates North Korean Sergeant Oh (Song Kang-Ho), the injured soldier, and Sergeant Lee, but they dodge the question with repetitive answers. After an autopsy on a dead soldier, a bullet was unaccounted for, which leads to another witness, South Korea Private First Class Nam (Kim Tae-Woo). But Nam, who can't stand the interrogation, tries to kill himself and goes into a coma. The news shakes Lee, and Jean tries to persuade him to find out what really happened that day.

An amazing film. This should have been the first Korean film nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Both Song Kang-Ho and Lee Byunghun do an amazing job of acting in this picture , which was Park Chanwook's breakthrough (and I think even better than Oldboy)

Looking at this friendship between the 2 South Korean soldiers and the 2 North Korean soldiers and the fun they had together, reminded me of a Bollywood movie, War Chhod Na Yaar, in which actor Sharman Joshi's character, an Indian Army Captain, and actor Jaaved Jaffery's character, the Pak Army Captain, have fun with each other

Well, the place in this movie is Pan Mun Jeom, JSA. It is very special place that under joint security by UN Armed Forces Commad and NK. Before August 1976, it seems really happened that Soldiers of both side became friend and chat, changes of snack and cigarrets. But August 1976, North Korean Army officer and his soldiers attacked two US Army officer by AXE. Litterally Axe. They died. It lead to crisis of nuclear war. US STRATEGIC ASSET assembled around the Korea. And South Korean Special Operation Forces attacked and destoryed NK's JSA outpost. After that JSA Soldiers regulation became harder. No talking, No cigar change, No Photo change. P.S, the NK Army officer who attacked US army officers is Lt Park Cheol. Lt Park died in 1984 when JSA was under gun fight because of Soviet Russian tried to exile. P.S 2, JSA is part of DMZ. So both side soldiers have to use only pistol. But NK Break the rule in 2000s. In 2017, NK soldier tried to exile in JSA, and NK tried to kill him. In this situation, NK soldiers shoot rifle. And South Korean soldiers under UN forces find out NK soldiers carrying RPG7. It is clearly break of Armistice of Korean war in 1953.

Vietnam and China aren't the same nation, but NK and SK were the same, as even now. What separated them is the Korean War happened a very long time ago. @@TheRoninChannel North Korea is a thorough surveillance society. It is a society dominated by fear, not loyalty. They are not punished in South Korea just because their escape. (Never) But they are regarded as non-civilizated sometimes. For example, most North Koreans have no understanding of modern culture. In addition, the Korean language and the North Korean language are 99% the same and 1% different, but some vocabulary uses are completely different. This can lead to fatal misunderstandings of each other.

Логика не очень очевидна. Ю Корея априори является сателитом США, потому что без этого С Корея захватила бы весь полуостров. А если бы Ю Корея каким-то образом победила бы в корейской войне и захватила бы весь полуостров, то она бы не нуждалась в полном военном сотрудничестве с США, т.к. явной угрозы для Ю Кореи не существовало бы.

There was a shitty parody movie back in Korea. So, it was the same situation but south korean soldier gets a boner and the shadow it casts crosses the border and the NK soldier be like "yo your shadow crossed the border."

In many occasions..during a war...two ennemies became friends...even only for few hours!...it s happened in a xmas during the first ww...and in other occasions. But after the war continues untill the end...
