North Bound Part 1 

Where I live in Northern Ireland we would say 'hit the hay' I'm a big fan of your reversing Becky, it's just as good as your forward driving...

A trick when driving up Newcastle way is to spot where the Angel of the North statue is, and when you're getting close tuck in on lane one behind a trucker. Odds are they've seen it before and won't gawp at it; car drivers, especially tourists bloody well WILL gawp and drift all over the place. You're better off away from them, behind something big and ugly, especially as that bit northbound is a long, sweeping downhill right hand bend, with the Angel on your right as well. Just round there is a Costco fuel station; ideal place to fill up the vehicle as they're normally about 5 pence under the local going rate.

Another great video Becky, watching and listening to you brings back so many memories of when I was driving the big rigs. Back here in Canada with the Canadian National Railways. Thanks so much for posting.

Hi Becky, Thanks for the excellent video as always. Your job is so much more difficult than an ordinary lorry driver, it's a special breed of person that does the normal driving then has to deal with livestock and washing out as well. One harvest I'd one of our local livestock haulage firms in with a bulker for grain, he thought it was easy work compared to a double deck cattle float, a bit like he was on a relaxing holday Greetings from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I recognised some of that road as you were heading west past the Metrocentre then not far north fork left for Ponteland some nice big houses up there, I couldn't make out where after that because of the gap in filming maybe on the road up to Otterburn, because the countryside starts to change from fields to moorland, but excellent scenery up there ! Enjoy the videos !

Hi Becky. Yesterday morning, at 7.10, I saw one of your DAF trucks (BU11 STM) driving along the A45 in Northampton, towards the M1. I could not see who was driving. Was it you, Liam, or your dad? Either way, they were not hanging around, but we're not speeding.
