Some are, some aren't. That's what they mean by SLOWLY. I was surprised the guy said the biggest issue was hauling away trash, but then they cut to the electricity issue, which is MUCH worse than stacked up trash. They only have so much equipment to replace the poles. They're fortunate it's not super hot or cold with no AC or heat.. like when Texas was out of power (though it came back within a few days).
@@chrissupportThere should be NO half and half. The crisis is still going on. Water receding does not suggest things are improving. It's not some people are okay and others aren't. There's still a serious crisis going on. A few people who have found safety is not a case of things are slowly improving.
@@NancyK-cu6xj What is wrong with you? are you a Trump supporter? those people perceive reality different from normal people. It's going to take TIME to fix this. I'm glad electricity is coming back. And many had no insurance and are wiped out. Is risky to live in a valley like that.. no different than chance of fires in CA mountains.
Their Democrat election is bouncing back. How do you win if you can’t steal or cheat this one ? Flood major trump country residents out and deny them aid
Bouncing back so well the Blue Ridge Parkway is indefinitely closed. That's a lot of territory for anyone who's never been FYI. My heart and prayers are still with everyone cleaning up from this mess in FL, SC, NC, SW VA and E TN. May God be with you all 🙏🙏.
I'm so sorry for whatever hardships and loss you are facing in all of this. I cannot answer for God. That's between you and him. I'm just an empath who wishes to heal the world unfathomably so.
The question we need to be asking is why is FEMA out of money before the height of hurricane season and why aren't they doing more or doing a better job In my conspiracy mind is there a motive to make chaos and confusion in these suffering areas right before an election I would hope not but one has to wonder if it is intentional or just bad leadership from the top down
@@lancemiles9462 what are the local government there for, shouldn't they be the ones representing their people or can the local government just sit and watch while people blame everything on the president.
I'm sorry but prayers ain't gonna cut it now. Towns are completely gone. families are stuck in those mountains with roads completely washed away to them. The elderly and sick can't walk it out of there even with help.
Tell them you want to dismantle America and that you're from a third world country and they'll give you more than that every month on top of free home, groceries, car, car insurance, hospital bills...
Yea republicans in congress blocked fema funding right before they went on a months long break? And you’re blaming the president? People really need to learn how our government works because republicans purposely destroy it and stop it from functioning so people would ask for strong men like trump to take over as an authoritarian would.
Every American should look at this situation and Maui and understand this administration is NOT coming to help you if SHTF. Have water, non-perishable food, medicines all with you for any possible disaster.
Yes, and the administration before this one said Covid was nothing more than the FLU. THEN THE WHOLE FREAKING COUNTRY had to shutdown due to incompetent Leadership.
The Government believes these people are deplorables and not worth saving. I say this as a native Rural East Tennessean and a part of these people. Wake up.
Same as always: control. They claim they want to maintain orderly intervention.. meanwhile people are missing and families are fractured. Just let the people who are willing and able to help...help.
Are you frigging serious? ;Bouncing back; one week after the devastation. Come down here and witness. There is a long road to any kind of recovery. Lots of communities may never recover. You bounce back from a cold or the flu. Sorry news source. We’re still rescuing people and recovering bodies and looking for missing people.
35 billion went to migrants squatters in Israel. and they is getting 8.7 billion again.🤣🤣 by the wat the U.S is causing the migrants crisis with all the sanctions. country with oil and lithium and plantation in south america the U.S is involve.
It’s thousands, whole fkn towns are gone. The media is downplaying this and the government is not doing shit for these people. Everything in this video is a lie
The Government both Federal, state, and local, has for the most part, left these people behind. It's disgusting. The nice speeches and phone calls are nothing, there is no plan. Support Grindstone Ministries too
biden has more than a few racked up. afghanistan, palestine ohio, lahaina hawaii, now the helene hurricane. countless other situations where this administration seems to almost encourage the death of Americans
This is an Izraeli trying to steer the money conversation away from Izrael. Zelensssky and Netanyahu are both Zionists bleeding Americans dry 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫
not looking to create division but, when Hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto Rico (way smaller than the affected states). Even when Trump was critiqued for throwing papel towels (which he also recently did with chicken tenders at the Bama/Bulldogs game) there wasn’t a single penny of disaster relief that was given to the government. FEMA spent and I ran along with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a military contractor during the emergency. Not a single penny was denied to us. Hopefully this can show some people that regardless of your opinion or beliefs, Trump might have a big ego, but, he did delivered. (Which the funding lasted for two consecutive years and even in 2021 there were still funds left for power grid reconstruction.
@RexRober... Remember tRump gave bigly tax breaks to millionaires & billionaires who also fund our government agencies! Because of it there is less FEMA money!
Scream at Mother Nature - it's going to take time.. it's a larger area than Katrina. There were warnings with flooded mountain valleys in KY and TN over the past few years, though this was the worse. Asheville had been promoted as 'safe' though it's basically at the end of a funnel formed by mountains. Just think of how much worse this could be if climate change wasn't fake.
Bouncing back slowly??? There's people still unaccounted for and the government isn't even helping! $750.00 pretty household? What a joke! Thank God for good people in America who take care of their OWN!!!
Im from Waynesville, 20 min from Asheville...We are not bouncing back...we're still assessing the catastrophe and still finding a chain reaction of overwhelming consequences each day. We still dont even know the full extent of everything. One fact we do know is that the Biden/Harris administration has ignored us since day 1.
There are still people stranded. Spruce pine, Fairview, Maggie valley and other areas still have people stranded and roads inaccessible. How could they call that bouncing back? Most people don’t have jobs to go back to. How is that bouncing back? We dont have water. Half the traffic lights aren’t working
Just wanted to point out that the phrase "bouncing back slowly" is an oxymoron. According to google, the definition of "bounce" is "...[to] move quickly up, back, or away from ...". This is an example of the Orwellian double speak that the mainstream media likes to use.
I saw Biden say that all of the resources have been given and that the people are happy across the board. But then to be honest he also asked the reporter that was talking with him. He asked him what Storm. Wow sorry but we can't have 4 more years of this. God bless those that have been affected by this horrible disaster.
Enough about this, how are our hay shins doing? Do they have all the life they need, completely paid for? I hope the hay shins are well cared for and have plenty of food, clothing, shelter, cars, spending money and tickets to Disney World. Can we get an update on how our newest citizens are doing? Can we do something extra for them?
A lifetime voting against one's self-interest which resulted in no infostructure to deal with these annual 'once in a lifetime' events, to say nothing about voting against regulations on corporations to have dealt with the main cause of this. Maybe a lesson learned? Nah.
@armyboy0579 oh gee, let me just grap my rescue helicopter. Totally forgot my taxes pay for military branches, red cross etc. To be used in catastrophic disasters to protect their own citizens. Silly me 🎉
BOUNCING BACK???? Are you serious??? I know local people experiencing desecration, devastation and destruction!!! Tired of the misleading headlines on YT!
