This is a great review. I loved this bag for many years as a 5'5 woman who lacks upper body strength. Most backpacks I would use for travel hurt my shoulders/neck, until I found this one. Then in 2021 I updated to the voyager version. I have found that a range of airlines have let me on their flights with my bag size unchecked when carrying either so I'm just letting others know who might have been wondering about that. I'm not sure whether I like the voyager or the original better - I use them for different purposes, I do like the few extra pockets the voyager has though.
I agree with you about the fact that they should have some water bottle pockets on the side. I also think that the interior color of the bag should be orange or yellow instead of black because it’s more reflective and makes it easier to find items inside. Also, the medium and larger versions of this bag have duffel bag handles while the small an extra small versions don’t. Also, this bag and the small version will fit ass carry-on on most airlines.
I’ve flown on Ryan Air with this bag many times without purchasing extra luggage. Never been stopped. It’s a perfect carry on duffle/backpack for weekend trips away 😄
@@HA-hr3qx I’ve done 10 nights comfortably before. Keep in mind if you want spare shoes, jumpers/coats space goes much faster. Will be using this for a 4 day trip to Prague on the weekend and there’s almost too much room!
I think the idea (instead of using it as a back pack) is to remove one of the straps and then attach the single strap diagonally to wear the bag crossover… 🙂
