@user-zg8ct4gt6n you must hate America and it's citizens. If you dont like living in a free country feel free to move somewhere else where they have barbaric laws. I hear Saudi Arabia is nice
@@raylear-z7bwrong. Judges give bail base on facts, not feelings. “A million dollars bail for stealing that phone!” If you want high bail, it should be for violent offenses, burglary of a home, etc. The jails aren’t big enough to keep all these people in. Remember, they know who these people are once they’re arrested. Would you rather have a $25,000.00 bond for someone stealing a candy bar, or for someone robbing you with a gun? The charges are still serious for this package thief if convicted, and sentencing in this instance is important than what bail they have. If they violate bail while out, then it should be revoked.
They have inside guys in UPS Fedex alerting the gangs on the outside with the addresses of where tech items are going to be delivered. They've caught employees with pics on rheir phones of addresses where the items never showed up. Its nothing new.
like clockwork whenever I am expecting a package from UPS I get a scam text message that claims it can't be delivered - the only way it can happen with that kind of consistency is if there's involvement from within UPS
As someone who has been a driver for Amazon and fed ex, it damn sure aint the driver. We have no idea what's in the package and we don't care. We just tryna drop all this shit off so we can go home lol.
You're correct. The last time I bought an expensive PC, UPS was going to ship it to a ghetto "fixing computer" place. I had to intercept it with the manufacter to have the PC stay at UPS in Vermont station for pick up. Never happened before. In the past, If no one was at home, UPS would have the item stay at their Vernont UPS 😵
Quite literally the ONLY thing I like about that pamphlet the quran.... "Eye for an eye". People adapt real quick to knowing they'll lose their hand for that iPhone ur about to nab.
Letting the cops handle it IS NOT a deterrent. Asking the thief inside a garage (as nicely as you believe a thief should be asked) and calling all the locals that were robbed in to decide what will deter the thief. I believe most of us believe several days in the hospital will make that thief think very hard about doing it again. At least in that neighborhood. Put on hoodies and put video of it online to get all the good out of it ya can.
Why are you north eastern ppl so rude? I'm from the south we we say yes sir yes mam. I'm calling the cashier at mcdonalds sir because I was raised to be respectful
@@nomadericwhat are you going on about? SMH. He’s not referring to a clerk at the cupcake shop he’s buying something from. The clowns in these videos are THIEVES.
This is the crime of choice of the illegal immigrants in NYC and the suburbs. New Jersey is seeing a huge rash of porch pirates from illegal immigrants. You get out on a very low bond and it has a very low scale of punishment from stealing a package on the porch. Someone told me that they’re putting tracking devices on the trucks and tracking the driving of the trucks they know the size of the package in the shape of an iPad or iPhone and immediately stealing within 5 minutes of delivery. Understand that some of the drugstores take your delivery, which I think is good. I would never have an expensive item delivered to the home. One of the major companies will not send an item over a certain value anymore and they will never never send an iPad or iPhone anymore. You have to pick it up at one of their offices.
I work for Amazon and have no idea what's in the package. How could you without opening it? Maybe a warehouse worker might but as a driver we don't know shit lol
@JBOMusicTv lmao, move up to what. Delivery drivers technically don't even work for Amazon they work for a dsp. None of the drivers know anything. None of the dsp managers or owners know anything. Literally the only person that could possibly know what's in a package and where it's going is the ppl that packed it. There is no driver that's ahead of another driver. We are all just drivers.
The bond should reflect the value of the stolen items. A new IPhone and IPad are worth much more than the measly $250 he must post to bail out of jail.
I think that was the delivery driver, his van is parked on the street. In the clip right before that the delivery driver is standing right there when the thief grabs the package. They are so bold they are grabbing it as soon as it’s put down.
North Haven is turning into New Haven. I grew up in North Haven and this was never an issue. If you can deal with the nonsense at the post office, you’re better off having any and ALL mail delivered there to a P.O. Box and hope they don’t lose it or delay it more than necessary.
These are obviously inside jobs with the delivery workers getting a kickback!! Not necessarily the actual delivery driver but the people in the warehouses and offices!! What a world we live in!!!
Pro tip: try to place orders on Wednesday or Thursday which generally means delivery on Saturday or Sunday. This assumes you’re tracking the item and will be home when it arrives.
Depends on where the package is coming from which shipper is handling it, and the service level(ground, express, 3 day, 2 day air etc). You can order Wednesday or Thursday and it may end up delivered on Friday. Try ordering mid to late Thursday if you want it arrive Saturday or Sunday.
Is there any chance that the Delivery personnel are actually involved as it seems odd that the Thieves Know where to go? I would asking Amazon etc to join forces with Law enforcement and make greater investigation to see if there's a Criminal Organisation doing the dirty!
I have a ring doorbell and multiple cameras on my property. I also have an electronic latch for the doggie door! Mess around and the 70 pound female black German Shepherd is going to come say hi.
In Africa no one's package gets missing....cus u deliver directly to the person or someone assigned to receive the package...why just leave a package on the floor n go...u just asking for thieves to take it
Amazon has secure delivery locations where you can go pick up a package if you can't be at home when it's delivered. And for UPS and Fedex you can require a signature on delivery so they won't just leave it on your doorstep. If you aren't home you may have to drive to their office to get the package but it's still safer than leaving it available for thieves.
Could be. Would more likely think they hacked the system somehow as opposed to an insider. I get tracking notifications from the carriers, and most of the time there is no information as to what’s inside, or anything on the box that gives it away. Also could be as simple as just following the truck. 4 guys, 2 cars. 1 stops and grasp a package while the other 1 keeps following the truck and relaying the position to the first car so they can catch up.
You can go to any metal fabrication shop and have them build you a lockable metal box that you can anchor to your porch. The delivery guy reads your sign, puts the package in the box and either locks when he closes it or he secures the padlock. Cost is around $50 to $150 depending on the size you want. Or you can buy a truck tool box and do the same. Those that have a HOA are pretty much screwed!
Remember the days when you left your house, went to a shop and bought an item from an actual human being. Hard to believe I know but it was the olden days.
Getting late to return to the traditional way of the postman delivering packages to the owner and not dumping them at the doors. Long live our postmen.
Check to find Heriberto Perez-Cabral's accomplice that works at the shipping company (probably a package loader), because he had been informed by someone inside the shipping company about the value of the package.
I don't have a camera outside my door and even leave my packages outside over night and still there. It sucks living in a red city never any action or street takeovers
Crimes are statistically up in red states my man. I know facts and stats really aren’t Trump supporters things. Trump‘s own chief of staff called him the most flawed person he’s ever met. And I think it was his secretary of state who said that Trump was a f*cking moron. Do you know why he had a shop around for a new vice president, it’s because the old one almost got hung by an angry mob. Lol, But yeah, keep talking trash about Kamala. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
We’ve had things delivered to Dollar General, which is a FedEx pickup, when we were not going to be home. We went and picked the package up there. What about a trusted neighbor watching for you?
HOW COULD NO OTHER BOZO BUT ME FIGURE THIS SIMPLE SOLUTION OUT. ------- D R U M R O L L .... THE ''DELIVERY'' MAN CALLS YOU AND TELLS YOU YOUR PACKAGE HAS ARRIVED. ---- THAT'S IT .......😂
Are there still places in the world where, if you’re caught stealing, you are immediately & permanently separated from the hand doing the stealing? Maybe we should try something like that here.
How about having someone at home for the deliveries. Or have a neighbor you can trust to take your packages. Or pick your packages up from the post office?
Perhaps look into having things delivered to your place of work, depending on the setup, and if they permit. Porch thefts are completely out of control
I’m fortunate enough to be able to work from so that whenever I’m expecting a package I can sit on my porch with my laptop. I feel bad for those who are unable to do so.
Had a UPS driver try to steal some items from my delivery. I found him in the neighborhood, confronted him, and got the rest of my order. He asked my address. Stange how the big box was opened, an item missing, but he was able to find it in his truck by the address. If it has an address why wasn't it delivered with the other items inside the big box they all came in?
Unmarked delivery vans would help. People follow them and steal the package. In Toronto the Amazon delivery vans are usually rented ones. No markings. And fill the empty boxes with dog and cat crap and leave it outside.
Or have your packages delivered to available drop boxes at home depot and other business in the area. Call for a list if you have something expensive being sent via mailed. Simple as that.
